Should McGregor submit Dustin this time?

This is so baseless, I dont even know what to say.
Becsuse " conors training team/ yes men " say he this great grappler.
Eddie bravo said he's a great grappler.

Anybody who knows anything about jiu jitsu can see that Conor is very good. Only people who actually think otherwise haven't trained any jiu jitsu.

He's a solid brown belt. Dustin is one of those guys who was probably given his belt too early. Under a stricter coach he wouldn't have gotten it.

Positionally and technically I see Conor as a better grappler. We haven't seen any submissions from him yet but I would personally expect him to handily beat Dustin on points.

His wrestling is also better.

Haven't seen much submission ability out of him

But technically and positionally I see him as superior to Dustin.

People tend to underestimate his jiu jitsu. Most people who know anything about jiu jitsu know otherwise.

He's pretty good at passing (especially standing) and staying out of trouble on top, but I haven't seen much in the way of a sub threat from him, certainly nothing that would trouble a seasoned black belt like Dustin.

I wouldn't call him a seasoned black belt.

Dustin is one of those guys who was probably promoted too early. Under a strict coach he would still be a brown. Don't be fooled.

He has no track record of subs but I would expect him to comfortably beat Dustin on points at the very least.

Those two would probably have a shitty wrestling match at ADCC rules that ended in a draw because they both have shitty takedowns.

How will Conor lose to Diaz in their rematch? Oh, that's right, rematches often go differently. Dustin looked intimidated in that first one and that was BEFORE his run of wins. Different fighter. Dustin by TKO late.

I actually think Conor's wrestling is very good.

It's a bit odd that people think otherwise.

Even DC gave his wrestling respect before the Chad Mendes fight.

There's no question he would handily outwrestle Dustin.

Very early on in the game.

I think he has solid TDD, but I can't recall seeing much in the way of wrestling offence from him.

And his heart ( while on ground ) ?

Bravo extends lip service on a lot of mmartists. Hes probably come to conors defense when people claim hes just void of any ground skill.

* I can only go on what I've seen. Outside Chad ( who is half his size) , I've seen zero grappling defense from the elite stand up.

He's shown enough to indicate that he has very legitimate grappling skill.

If that's not something you realize, you don't know what you're watching.

Eddie is a great mind when it comes to jiu jitsu and you know when he's being real and honest. And he would know better than anyone. Conor has trained at his gym.

Because Conor outwrestled Holloway while Dustin couldn't do shit to him with obvious weight advantage. Dustin's grappling is C level at best. He got subbed very easily to Beef, got manhandled by Hooker.. lol Hooker looked like a great wtestler when compared to Dustin at that fight.

Yeah ( I'm aware hes trained with Conor- my point). ....and I'm more than aware of what I'm watching. I would hope hes not entering cage without some sort of ground skill set ( its not 1995). Its just COMPLETELY LAUGHABLE to read " pretty sure 100% that Conor taps out Dustin on ground " .
GTFO.
LOL.

- anything is possible - OF COURSE but that's just 100% ridiculous.
Based on what ? The WORDS of Bravo ?

When khabib bitched out the Irishman, I'd like to hear from Eddie and explain what he was doing when a submission wasnt even sunk in when Conor took his ball and went home.

I'm sure that McGregor has good jiu-jitsu, but it's not UFC level good. Each time he's in any prolonged grappling exchange, he loses. Had the 2nd fight against Diaz gone a minute longer, he would've been tapping. Yes, he did out-grapple Max Holloway in the third round, but that was WAY before Max became Max. However, what McGregor is good at is escaping, stalling opponents in his guard, hitting a sweep every now and again, etc. His jiu-jitsu is specialized to get his back off the ground and on his feet.

Dustin on the other hand has shown a much more versatile grappling game, both offensively and defensively. The only times he's ever been submitted was after a beatdown from Khabib and a war with KZ. Stylistically, I still favor Conor over Dustin in the rematch, but if they ever fought in a strict grappling match, Dustin wins ever time.

I never said that actually.

I said that id be confident in Conor comfortably winning on points against Dustin. We haven't seen any submissions from him. While I'm sure he knows how to do them, if there's no track record then it won't be something I bet on.

His technique, positional iq and fluidity is just better.

I know when someone is being honest and when they're just trying to hype someone up. Why would Eddie try to hype Conor up? He's not his fighter. He doesn't know him.

And no. It's not just Eddie. If you ask any grappling mind on earth, they would tell you his jits Is very good.

The fact that you're questioning it tells me you're not very aware at all.
