God damn MMA fans are insecure
No one said they have to be geniuses. But they do have to train their entire life to make it. Start at a young age probably like 6 or 7. Be blessed with physical attributes, athletic abilities, coordination, etc.. Be the best player in their high school, college team, and they still might never get a shot at the nba. Whereas MMA you have some guys that trains for a few years and they’re in.
If you think throwing a ball in the hoop is all it takes to play basketball at a high level then you’re ignorant. There’s a reason why there are so many coaches on a professional basketball team. The act of shooting the ball in the hoop is easy. It just takes a lot of hard work to do it consistently and efficiently.Speaking of idiots. This dork apparently thinks you need some sort of intelligence to throw a ball in a hoop.

First, the entry level UFC contract is 10k/10k not 25k/25k. A lot less then what you are quoting
Yes they should get paid more but sadly the UFC or any other MMA promotion in the world doesn’t generate the kind of money the NBA does.
The NBA generates 8 BILLION Dollars annually and has 450 players
Whereas as the UFC generates 900 million annually and has over 600 fighters
It is impossible for fighters to make as much as NBA players because MMA doesn’t generate no where near enough money to match major sports
Lol even adjusting for your stats an NBA player makes far more than a ufc fighter.

Exactly
I think you're confusing what I said. Let's say NBA salaries were directly proportional to their sales. So if their sales dropped, the minimum player salary falls by the same %.
If their sales fell from 8 billion to 900 million (89% decrease), their salaries would still be about 10 times higher than the rookie UFC contract.
So it's NOT just about sales. They also give a higher % of their sales out to the players. We already know this, 12% to the players is what the UFC gives out and it's much lower than other sports.
The nba is a collection of 30 franchises. The ufc is 1. A cba with a single entity is harder to negotiate because it doesn’t take into consideration competitive landscape. The yankees and cowboys pay less than 30% of revenue. Because their revenue is much higher. They don’t just pay out 50% because they have higher revenue. That’s what people except from the ufc.....Yea... Fighters really do need to form a player association and get a CBA

Why does everyone care about fighter pay? Fighter's know what they are getting into and are signing the contracts..If they don't like what UFC is paying there is Bellator/PFL or One.. They have a choice
Then every fighter will just fight once and jump ship with nearly a mil
MMA is very dangerous compared to basketball.
I think the average UFC fighter makes $25 000 / $25 000 for a rookie contract.
NBA is $898 000 per season for 2000 / 2021 for a rookie contract.
that’s nuts !!!
you could get killed in the Octogon for the price of a base level Toyota Camry ?!
What else are most of these guys going to do, professionally? Do you see Nate Diaz or Cody Garbrandt getting a bachelors, a JD, passing the bar, and becoming an attorney? Mike Perry, PhD?
Face it, the a large segment of MMA fighters are from lower socio-economic backgrounds and are undereducated. A lot of these guys would be wage slaves or career criminals if it weren't for MMA. Face and neck tattoos don't generally lead one to success in a white collar career
