should disgusting drug cheaters be banned for life?

Drugs? No freakin way

Fighting in a steel cage?
Kick people in the head (holm rousey)
Kneesstrikes to a human in feddle position (gsp serra)
And man sitting on top of another man and punching him in the face for a minute straight( luke, chris)

Ilucky they were all clean and nobody got hurt.

why is it that i always know certain thread topics belong to a white belt or someone with dubs?

No, but you should have a lifetime ban from making threads.

Ever notice how most of these "cheaters" end up getting beat in the end anyway? How many guys have lost only to be caught doping after the fight.

That being said, I think there should be an even playing field. But I'm not sure I would call it "cheating" as it seems to have very little effect on the actual outcome of the fight.

i think so.
Yeah, at some point, maybe on the third offense of obvious intentional cheating. Right now what's been happening is unknown "cheating" which I don't find disgusting at all. There are a ton of substances banned by USADA that weren't by the state commissions and these substances are in supplements the fighters are used to taking. The fighters need to be more aware and the UFC needs to make sure they are. Most of the violations lately have been self reported on accident, it seems. So I'm not disgusted but trying to stay patient. Growing pains were always going to be a part of this process so I'd try to calm down.

Most basketball big players are on that diet including MJ, but back then, I do't think it was illegal, just unethical! Just for an example, I used to know this short white guy who used to dunk and was roiding, and basketball is not his game. This just to show you what the juice can really do!

Eh, I don't know about that. Perhaps some of them are accidents, but people have been saying that along along whenever they got busted. Anderson's mysterious hard on pills? Reem's doctor that snuck roids into his anti-inflammatory shot? Where is the line when it comes to excuses?

I have a seriously hard time believing any of it happens because the UFC hasn't informed the fighters of what the banned substances are. Maybe there are simple minded (dumb?) Baby Huey-type fighters that take the approach of, "Gee George, I was taking these supplements and drugs before, so it must be OK ot take them now, so I'll take them, then I'll go feed the rabbits." But everyone at this point knows that supplements can be contaminated, and it would be pretty easy to take the ones you KNOW are contaminated, and claim you didn't know. Everyone is informed and must be held accountable for what they put in their bodies; at some point they are going to have to stop making exceptions, or the whole thing is just an ineffective joke.

Those are some huge assumptions you are making that I'm just not willing to make. Look at BJ and Machida, neither of those guys knew they were self reporting. I do not think these guys know the supplements that have never been reported as contaminated but are... how would they know. The fact is, so many more supplements have become off limits you have to expect these guys who have always seen themselves as clean will slip up and take stuff that's now banned. You make a lot of judgments based on pretty wild assumption that you see as basic logic. I'm glad I'm not aloud to be judged as harshly as you judge without proof.

Actually, I have no idea what assumptions that you are talking about, as I have made none. Hopefully you are not talking about Reem or Silva, because that is just stupidity to believe. Maybe you are saying that you and I and everyone on Sherdog knows that supplements can be contaminated, but that knowledge has somehow slipped through the fighters and their trainers, which would be pretty preposterous.

My point was, ANYONE WHO WAS DIRTY could in theory use supplements that they knew were dirty and CLAIM they didn't know, or just use banned substances and claim they were from contaminated supplements (or just claim they didn't know the substance was banned). The fighters can easily obtain the list of banned substances, and put things in their body only with the greatest of caution; you can't hide from responsibility by claiming ignorance; as they say in a court of law (when you claim that you "just didn't know it was illegal") "Ignorance is no excuse." If anyone can just claim ignorance, then you have no rules at all, because you have a way out for ANY cheater. The only PROOF that they need is a test proving they had the banned substance in their system, which is indisputable in these cases. That proof of a substance via a lab test actually WAS sketchy in the Nick Diaz case of the marijuana, which is why he had a leg to stand on, unlike these guys.

Athletes in other sports are held to this standard, so I don't know why MMA fighters should be an exception.
