Should Anderson have been disqualified?

Go back to your safe space TS.

Weirdly enough TS, I nearly made this thread last week

but about Paul Harris vs Miller

I believe in both cases Paul Harris and Silva should have been DQ'd (and it be there own stupid fault)

No, but it did take so long the thought of Dean taking a point crossed my mind. I didn't think it would happen. His own trainers were pulling and tugging at him, it was nonsense.

Bisping crumbled like a cookie, he was out for a second, Anderson thought the fight was over. He didn't do it on purpose. If he really thought Bisping was still in the fight he would have finished him off with more punches instead.
except the round was over seconds after the knee. saved by the bell. ac slater and zack morris.

Thankfully, neither Chong-Li nor Tong-Po or their entourages were at the 02 arena last night.

Someone could slip their fighter something between rounds if that was the intent. It was a poor sportsmanship to try to coerce the ref and a violation of the rules I think he should get fined for. But disqualified? No way.

I see that point but between rounds is still a controlled environment. Last night was chaos and the chaos was a direct result of Silva's actions. A fighter should not be able to alter the controlled environment by causing such chaos during any time from the opening bell to the end of the fight. Its equivalent to an unsportsmanlike act in any other sport causing a player to get ejected from the game.

I agree it definitely is the equivalent to an unsportsmanlike penalty in another sport. But a free throw technical foul or a 15 yard penalty isn't that bad as far as affecting the entire outcome.. In MMA if you don't warn a guy your only options are take a point or DQ him. Both would have been excessive imo. I think be should get a fine though.

He did that to catch his breath, just like Yoel Romero against Tim Kennedy.

I wouldn't blame Silva for the chaos, he just got on the cage, it's not his fault everybody made a debacle about it. If he ignored officials, then there should be a deduction though. For there to be a DQ there needs to be a rule violation. There must be some rule about getting on the cage though.

It was Silvas fault for fucking up, but it gave Bisping a little extra time to recover (though it also caused him not to get a cut man between rounds). It's sort of a wash in my eyes.

Lol probably one of the stupidest most pussified things I've ever read.

Why should he be disqualified due to Herb Dean's lack of control in the cage? It's the ref's job to keep order in there and apply the rules to the fight. This situation was his failure, not the fighter's.

I know that John McCarthy has made some bad judgement calls at times over the years, but can anyone imagine him losing control of his cage like Herb did yesterday?

That fight should've been stopped. But whatever, I'm done arguing about it.

If he won it was a cheap win after being dominated. But Mike was defending as soon as he hit the floor. Can't tell if flash KO or not.
Lol defending. He was trying to hold his face together and couldn't get up on his on strength.

He can do jumping jacks or play solitaire between rounds, doesn't really matter

Anderson was screwed out of a legit KO win last night. Bisping had no right to try and stop the fight as he did. Mouthpieces fall out all the time, and the ref is the one to stop the fight. Silva won last night.

and the ref didnt stop it. and Bisping survived till the bell rang. are you retarded? you say the ref is the one to stop the fight, and the ref didnt stop, and AS should still get the KO victory?:D
