I am curious what you guys think about what's next for Overeem. I am longtime fan of his and he is one my favorite fighters ever but honestly after UFC 225 I just think he should retire.

Seems to me his skills have diminished too much, his chin is totally gone, all the younger HWs are nightmare match-ups for him.

I hope he fights one more time and gets to retire with his hands raised, but I really hope they'll match him up with someone who can't do too much damage (meaning not the loser of BB-Ngannou nor Tai).

What do you guys think should be next for the Reem?

Yes of course.

Will he.. hell no! collect them checks till they go away that seems to be his mindset: Alistair Overeem: $860,000 UFC 225

I do think he should retire but not because his skills are gone, he is still top5 and still good enough to beat anyone outside of top5

No way!

He can still fight guys like
- Werdum
- Hunt
- Struve
- Arlo
- Willis
- Albini

All ranked

They will probably give him Tuivasa next, to market the younger one.

He should have quit a long time ago.

Can't imagine what his quality of life will be in 10-15 years.

He has already fought all but Willis and Albini (some even x2). Willis and Albini could be good options for a retirement fight.

Personally I'd like to see him rematch JDS next. I sincerely hope he does not fight Tai Tuivasa.

Probably could take a gimme fight then retire immediately afterwards. After such a long career, surely the Reem should go out better than this.

Yes, but Alistair said he's going to keep going and if that's the case give him a winnable one like Albini or Willis

he should of already retired when he had to get off the roids or go to bellator and get back on the roids

Yes

Let him collect a few more checks then send him on his way to enjoy life.

Oh yes he should retire. Two years ago in fact, after Stipe. Too many KO's, his reflex defence gone, his adjusted style with low hands leaves him even more open for power shots.

At 800k a fight don't think he will stop until they cut him or contract runs out. Don't know who he'd fight really. Maybe rematch AA or loser of JDS/Ivanov since they'd be only ranked'ish guys coming off a loss.
