Should Alistair Overeem have stayed at 205 instead of going up to HW?

Yeah he should never have become strikeforce champ, k1 champ, beat up Brock Lesnar and made millions in the UFC by fighting in the Premier division...

One of the stupidest fuckin ideas for a thread ever. Slap yourself in the face TS

Would he have been a better fighter and got knocked out less during his career?

He was mediocre at best at LHW, and had cardio issues due to hard weight cuts.

He’s a big boy naturally even without the Horsemeat and had problems staying light enough for LHW.

He never should have changed his nickname. The Demolition Man was great.

He was not strong enough at 205, he needed more muscle he just went a little too crazy with cultivating mass.
what did he change it to

He wouldn’t have done as well at lightheavy.

He was getting lit up there, because the lightheavies are not slow and plodding.

Ubereem was born in late 2007 and came to an end as the Maya predicted in 2012. His best run came when he was eating a lot of horse meat and switching back and forth between kickboxing and MMA, turns out he was a much more technical and better kickboxer than MMA fighter who used the big gloves well for defense and had a nasty Thai clinch and devastating mini-coma knees, so effective in fact that they even changed the rules against him in K-1 by banning the technique. In 2013 he started dabbling on whale meat and the rest is history.

No, the weight cut was pretty horrendous for him where he was already long and lean before cutting. And his cardio was utter dog shit. He made the right move going to HW and letting his frame get bigger.

No. His career was at its end at LHW. Becoming Ubereem gave him an entirely new opportunity.
