Hi! I am bjj guy and my go to takedowns are singles and knee taps. I wanna keep my gi and no gi game as close together as possible. I always try to get russian2on1, Underhook tie up, double wrist control or just shoot low single from the distance. I also had some success with marcelo garcias arm drag to " slide single" style takedown.
I really think with gi you have to have better grips or tie up than your opponent, If not she/he can easily block your shot.
Whats your gameplan If you wanna shoot with gi? Which grips and tie ups you prefer? And what you think about wrestling style Underhook tie with gi and why dont see it more in judo competitions?
