What's the context of the original picture?

It's from last night's episode of TUF. Team McGregor was already down 0-5, and McGregor's training partner/protege Lee Hammond was fighting.

Hammond dominated the first 8 and a half minutes of the fight and then got caught in a guillotine in a scramble.

Now Team McGregor is 0-6 and the only fighter he actually gives a shit about is out of the tournament. I almost felt sorry for him. Almost.
