why are people so hung up on tapping to strikes? He took a fucking beating.
he knows he's done, so why keep taking damage?

Do you at least fight amateur?

Forrest without a doubt, i remember thinking this monster from pride was going to starch this tuf goof, boy was i wrong

I was there @ the Chael loss. The fact people cheered that shit will never leave me

Chael loss was by far the worst IMO.

- Forrest, Gustaffson, and Hendo fights were competitive
- Jones is the GOAT and had never displayed that level of striking
- OSP and Smith fights ended so fast they were barely fights and likely wouldn't end the same way

However, the Chael loss came at a time when Shogun was still fairly competitive and Chael was not looking good at all yet Shogun got dominated and decisively stopped by a guy known for having a weak ground game. Shogun looked broken after this loss

Chael, considering that he had made it a point to "punish" him for all the shit he talked about Brazilians, only to tap in the 1st round to a guy who'd tapped like 10 times himself.

I seconded this
Chael BY SUB is pretty bad

Smith, Chael, & OSP are his only "bad losses" but it's probably Smith bc he actually had some momentum going into that fight

Because shogun fans were always on about heart of a warrior and he'd never tap to strikes like that gsp bitch.

O how the tables turned LMAO.

As a shogun supporter, him tapping (and early) to the heartless sonnen was tough to digest..... gotta admit. A SMH moment for sure for fighters I support.

Chael.

Spent his time laughing at Pride fighters.

As a huge Shogun fan ..... The Chael loss hurt the most

The embarrassment of getting subbed by Chael was undoubtedly the best. Not so say that Chael isn’t a legit ass wrestling threat

Shogun took a 3 round beat down against a guy 20 lbs bigger in the cage ...... Gsp quit after 3 minutes against a guy he outweighed by 20 lbs in the cage ...... not exactly the same thing , but whatever fits your agenda

Lmao both tapped to strikes at the end of the day.

Make excuses for it though.

OSP is not that skilled but he find ways to win fights. Chael find ways to lose them.

Sonnen by far.

But the beating he took from Jones was bad.. very very bad.

Forrest. After hyping him for years, it was the first fight I was able to get a lot of my friends to watch Shogun. Then Forrest happened.
