That diving punch was one of the most brutal strikes I've ever seen in MMA, it was vicious and if u watch the fight the sound it made was frightening

Yeah... they put CC in there with Manbearpig so he would get worked on the ground and it turned out way better than they could have even hoped for.

Overeem always started strongly but had a gas tank issue, this result was (from memory) what almost everyone expected. Shogun absorbed the pressure, stuck to the gameplan and got a brutal KO. The idea that the second fight was lucky or some kind of fluke is to ignore the fighters strengths entirely, as well as downplay Shoguns warrior spirit.

Shogun was never Pride Champ because of Wand... Rampage & Werdum both beat Pride Champs after Pride to discredit your mention of them. AS lost that fight to a flying ankle lock to an injured ankle that is literally one of the most likely examples of the dirty stuff that went on in Pride.

I loved Pride and would argue that it was better than UFC competition wise for the most part... but your examples are stretches. I'd have gone with Rampage beating the crap out of Chuck in both promotions and Chuck being the most dominant UFC guy at the time.
