I'm both a Chael fan and a Shogun fan. That being said, I think Shogun murders him in the rematch.

look at Anderson vs Chael 1 and 2.

both the same. Early domination by Chael, only to make a mistake & have Anderson capitalize.
Shogun is a great fighter. Loved his win last night. But other fans on here are making sensible Shogun fans look bad. I had to go to the extreme on my reply with another poster because his arguments were baseless & he couldn't decide if he wanted to debate a rematch or career achievements.

Styles make fights, somebody like Chael will always give Shogun problems because he's just looking to take his opponent down and smother them. I think Shogun certainly got caught on a bad night but Sonnen's got a great double leg and Shogun doesn't have great takedown defense. I think Chael would have a much tougher time with James Te Huna than Shogun did, ironically.

Then you have a different idea of what "owning" is than I do. If Chael had dominated Shogun in every area of the game for five rounds then he would have owned Shogun.

Did Shogun have a single moment of offense in that fight? Does finishing the fight negate ownage?

2. Shogun is 6-6, Chael is 7-8 (below 500) in UFC

3. Shogun is 1-0 since the Sonnen fight, Chael is 0-1
