What u guys say: Guy hits hard or has the right timing for KOs? or a little bit of both?

Power, timing, and accuracy.

both IMO, good for him since hes getting older and his speed and timing has gotten noticeably worse. always has that power to fall back on and keep competing like hendo

Timing. No doubt

Look at tehuna and machida fights for examples of this.

Power, timing, and accuracy.

Agreed.

A better example of Power and Timing is Hendo. Even Mark Hunt to an extent, albeit Hunt has world class technique... but what wins him fights is his huge power and insane timing despite keeping his hands down most of the time, being relatively slow nowadays and with a very small reach (this could be said about hendo too actually)

Shogun used to rely on his durability more then anything- being able to take a shot or 2 to land a big one. Machida landed a devastating liver shot before the counter KO- most people would have been way more visibly hurt but Shogun ran through it and smoked Machida.

Killer instinct. His speed was very impressive, as well. Most people never got to witness his true greatness, as soccer kicks and face stomps were his best weapons. Would be like Jones having to fight without elbows or eye pokes.

a mixture of everything.

A bit of both, but timing certainly helped him a lot to achieve his most famous knockouts, especially the Machida one.

neither... creativity

especially in the Pride era
