DOn't know why Shogun was an underdog. Smith isn't very good technically although he is young with a long frame.
 
OAP Rashad to Rejuvenated Shogun is quite a leap. Let's see if DC is interested in fighting Smith if he wins, seeing as he mentioned giving Shogun a LHW title shot.

Before he can kill anyone though he will have to step in the cage. Shogun is one of my fav fighters of all time. But Im kind of hoping he announces his retirement soon.

Years ago he would have ran Smith over like a locomotive.

At this stage of his career though, Anthony is a dangerous fight. Shogun should have the speed advantage though, as Smith sometimes looks as if he is striking under water. But he's a really tough dude with good power.

I am rooting for Shogun but on the other hand I want him to lose so at least one of DC's circusfights gets nixed.
Smith is sloppy, but he has power and is tall...a skateboard is never far away.
 
I wouldn't be so sure about Shogun killing anyone these days. He's one of my all time favorites, but he's had at least 3 knee, 1 shoulder, 1 face, and 1 arm surgery at this point. He's got a lot of miles on him.
That being said, I hope he wins and gets the DC money fight. If he somehow managed to get the upset of all time against DC, he should retire at the top.

i hope not. for once i'd like to see a ufc card not fall apart during fight week/weigh-ins.

Why would Shogun should he win a 4th fight in a row be a circus fight for DC?

To me, this sport needs legitimacy and getting wins is obviously the biggest factor. Regardless or your age, health, style and fan acceptance if you keep winning you get the title shot like in NBA, NFL, kindergarten youth wrestling, World Cup, etc, very simple formula and format to crown a champ that mma cannot figure out and accept

You cannOT DenY The SHOgun!!!!
