lmao reminds me of when Wandy/Pride straight up lied to the UFC about copromoting just so they could have Wandy get into the cage with a PRIDE shirt on during one of the big UFC PPVs.
 
Don't think he is really wrong. The event wasn't anything special. Last time they made him take out a legend in Saku.

But having said that OneFC isn't exactly rolling either. There shows are like two fights deep to.

Just want to see him get a real challenge. Cruickshank as far as possible fighters for him over there isn't bad.

But anyways, was the rizin event any good? The rip I saw featured only fights, no entrances, no post-fight stuff - so the thing with Aoki was missing as well. As for the fights themselves.... I'd say they weren't that great. There were a few pretty competitive fights - and it was interesting to see the Indian-Japanese dude Fedor fought fight again against another Russian dude Fedor brought in (Fedor was cornering all of the Russian fighters at this event - and in this fight, the win was given to the Russian dude, but I'd say it was an even fight - in fact, the Russian dude was bloody due to skin cuts, while the Indian had skin which was clearly not prone to cuts).

The 2 on 2 grappling match was a joke.

The Brazilian monster chick destroyed the Russian chick, who clearly didn't belong in the ring.

In the end, it was sort of meh.

Tbh, I'm far more interested in a Askren or Tynanes fight than a fight with Cruickshank.
 
Aoki isn't very smart apparently. Why would you burn bridges with Rizin for no reason? It's not like he is fighting big name guys in Bellator or the ufc.

If Aoki doesn't want to fight in Rizin, then I suppose his motives for starting beefs with cruickshank and others would be to get him to try and sign with one fc.

but one fc has a history of protecting their champs so...
 
So is this a heel troll job, or is he ducking Cruickshank? He had a decent UFC career and would be a good fight. At least he's still got a good fight with Lowen Tynanes to book in ONE if he blows this match off.

You're right about that. But people like to judge him solely on the basis of that fight.

it would be like judging anderson silva for his "loss" to okami.

EDIT: Actually a better analogy would be judging eddie alvarez solely on the basis of losing to Aoki.

Sherdog was literally the only North American website with a reporter at the venue doing PBP.

this. Sherdog had a PBP and it's listed on their events tracker. They also posted an article about the results. Given how much trouble we had seeing the fights at all, i think their effort is more than enough.
