Nah, back in the day BJ really was the prodigy. He was the first non-Brazilian to win in the black-belt division of the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship after just a few years of training. He also had great flexibility and TDD and could keep the fight standing. And Aoki's striking and wrestling were weak. Aoki beat a green Eddie but Eddie flatlined Aoki in the rematch.Shinya had way more miles and was not as roided as those. He beat Eddie. He’s also way better on the ground than BJ
