SHFT/PWD 245: RATINGS...The Thread

More bad news for the WWE schills but good news for WWE fans like myself :)

So that means that the Christmas special episode of Raw where Del Rio ran over Santa did a better rating then an episode of Raw where you have Austin/Flair/HBK/Brock and not to mention the last Raw before H.I.A.C...

Del Rio/Santa = Ratings

Watching Man on the Moon and it's a shame how much he worked to keep kayfabe compared to the guys now.

Carrey may be an idiot, but that was a damn performance. Ignored come Oscar time, naturally, as they appear to have something against him.

Lucha Underground ratings

Feb 11th - 94,000
Feb 18th - 146,000
Feb 25th - 68,000
Mar 4th - 70,000
Mar 11th - 78,000
Mar 18th - 96,000
Mar 25th - 139,000
Apr 1st - 134,000
Apr 8th - 104,000
Apr 15th - 82,000
Apr 22nd - 129,000
Apr 29th - 81,000
May 6th - 68,000

So according to Luchabear logic, they are not doing anything right, because as you see they totally are not getting the ratings they had their boom period of February 18.

Their booking sucks, they don't push the right guys and that damn Puma just buries everybody. Push Havoc.

Lookin forward to catchin that Summer Breeze on smackdown.

Are you serious? I guess you are but seriously...(Especially after bringing up that shitty drug dealing theory)

Lucha Underground has had just one single year in existance so what the fuck are you trying to talk about? They are on a Network that most people don't even have or even ever heard of. I love Lucha Underground, every fucking minute of it!!! But in no way can you bring this up into the WWE record low ratings argument. WWE has been around for a very very long time and have reached millions of fans.

Again... Why are you trying to argue against Dave Fucking Meltzer? I haven't made anything up. Seems like it really bothers you when people criticize the WWE which also seems to be a pattern here on Sherdog Forums.

How many schills is the WWE sending over to Sherdog because of me?:)

Lucha Underground is the best thing going on in pro wrestling today. If you actually watched a few episodes from the start, you probably wouldn't have such a negative opinion on it.

It's fucking great.

the RNN segments were always good. I hope that there are more backstage segments where guys were wearing their street clothes, and not their t-shirt or ring gear. To me, it looks just kind of weird for a grown man to be wearing his own t-shirt all the damn time, or in ring gear, just hanging out.

That was one thing that always weirded me out about The Nexus, no one ever wore anything over their ring gear.

If they'd have come out with Nexus shorts, they'd have made a killing.

Indeed, while last week's show saw a record low of 3.28 million viewers, this week's edition garnered 3.35 million. That's nice and all but surely the company expected more with Stone Cold Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, Undertaker, and Brock Lesnar all appearing.

The hourly breakdown shows interest wasn't sustained throughout the evening, though numbers were better than last week:

Hour one: 3.60 million
Hour two: 3.34 million
Hour three: 3.12 million

This isn't good.

Trying to watch the new episode of the Lingerie Football reality show but for some reason theyre replaying last weeks episode instead of a new one

Three weeks in and were already getting scheduling fuck ups

Just saw the clip from SD when Summer is hitting on Dolph and I fully expected him to say: "I see what you're doing. You're trying to use me. And when it comes to those games .... I'm in!"

I understand the concept of using your own tv time to push your merchandise but it does look unnatural. One thing I liked about WCW was that the guys would wear actual clothes which I would assume was due to their shitty marketing department. I likeed it even though it made Goldberg do an irrecoverable heel turn in my eyes.

That period from 96-04 was his best stretch with movies like Liar Liar, The Cable Guy, The Truman Show, Man on the Moon, Me, Myself and Irene, Bruce Almighty, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
