SHFT/PWD 245: RATINGS...The Thread

Is it true that Vince was mad at all of the blood last night?

I thought HIAC was solid. The ADR appearance surprised me, the lean win over Cena shocked me, and I like the idea of him and Zeb together. That could be fun.

Reigns/Wyatt was very, very good. I loved the way the crowd reacted to Bray putting the chair into the fence, and then how Bray reacted to them reacting.

The Alabama Slam on the apron in the Divas match was sweet until Charlotte no-sold it.

Glad Seth went over Kane the way he did. I'd like to see him get some pins with the Frog Splash. Has he stopped doing the Phoenix Splash? I hope the storyline is done with Kane now. I wonder if Kane will stick around for a Survivor Series match with Taker against the Wyatts?

Lesnar/Taker was solid. I liked Brock ripping up the ring, which I can't recall seeing during a match before. Nice amount of blood for this era, some stiff looking moves an some sloppy shit too. I liked the Wyatts coming out for Taker at the end because at least maybe we'll acknowledge the several months in which Bray called out Taker and fought him at WM. I laughed at JBL talking about the lack of honor they were showing a true "warrior" like Taker -- hey, JBL, did you used to kidnap people and brainwash them FOR the Undertaker? Karma is a bitch.

Alexa Bliss would look like Trish 2.0 if this was 2001.

Never saw Lesnar/Taker as any type of Face/Heel diametric...

I mean... Heyman is an ass and Brock does whatever he wants... Undertaker is respected and is a fan favorite... but Brock has always been about doing whatever he wants.

Just 2 guys out for each other... Cheer/Boo whomever you want.

Best version of something like that in a long time.

Wow, nice surprise Del Rio..........you can go now.

Everyone i watched with was super excited to see Zeb.

I also remember reading in at least one article (and maybe someone's idea on here) that after they took away the announcer and cars from Del Rio that he basically had NO character, which lead to him generating no interest, and that putting him with Zeb in the Real Americans would have been a great move. Nice to see it happened, even if it is a year or two later.

Watching it now, John Cena sucks chants can't be fucked with.

You would think if Vince and Dunn were "freaking out" about the blood, then they wouldn't do close ups.

Batista blading in the Jericho cage match and the wide shots is a clear example of that.

Lesnar never cheated (till now) to win in his return run in WWE. Cheating is the basic definition a heel. You can flip the audience off and argue with the boss but unless you cheat, you're not a heel, you're just a mean bastard. Nut shot is heel. Rassling 101.

Yea this pairing has potential to be awesome if they book it right, which they wont
I definitely wouldnt try to recreate the Real Americans though
Just make it two mortal enemies who were down and out and realized that if they got together they could really get some shit accomplished

Is it cheating if it's a no DQ match though?

Unless you're Roddy of course. Then you're a heel by being a fucking bastard but that's the exception that proves the rule.

Flair was the cheating heel champ
who left every territory thinking that their champ could have won if it was not for that cheating SOB.

Rollins is the definition of cheating heel champ EXCEPT he is losing clean all the time when the belt is not on line. He should be losing and then pull a cheat win out of his ass but only for title fights. No more nontitle fights.

Like I said in a thread a while ago, he's paying the price for breaking Cenas nose - now Rollins is a bitch.

Edit: Piper still cheated but he didn't have to :)

In all fairness, I feel like they really stayed away from Lesnar when he was gushing pretty bad after the initial blade/hardway. He had a full crimson mask at that point and they didn't really focus on him clearly again until the doctor cleaned him up some.

PPV blood on Sunday night isn't the same as RAW blood. I doubt Taker would fuck with Vince by blading against Vince's will. Either agreed or accident.

Is it cheating if it's a no DQ match though?

Face doesn't nutshot and no DQ is supposed to make sure that the bad guy can't avoid losing the belt by getting a DQ. Though obviously that's all fucked up thanks to WWE. What is the fucking point of no DQ if there is no belt on the line?

Sounds like one of those unconfirmed stories published to get smarks riled up
