Mr JDragon, you are proposing a system where there will be, among other things, a Shitposter of the Month. I see how that will go. @Jack V Savage will try to make @ripskater shitposter of the month and vice versa.
Of course they are free to nominate each other's posts if they meet the criteria. But here is the deal: You will only be eligible for a presidential Medal of Honor and therefore free Plats months if you either successfully propose someone of opposite political leaning for Poster of the Month or if you propose someone from your own camp for shitpost of the month. In other words: You either admit "Damn, that was one good post, even though I generally cannot stand him and his views" to the other side or you say "Buddy, I generally side with you, but that was a load of shit you produced there" - that kind of stuff will get rewarded.
Now if I was leaning to the right, I would suspect you'll favor your liberal peers to give them free Plats months and make them look good, while looking down on the right.
That thought is understandable, but that's absolutely not my intention. That's why it will go like this: If there are enough proposals for each month for both Post of the Month and Shitpost of the Month, I will select a number of them and we will then have a public vote on that.
That still does not sound very convincing. After all, if you select the posts that will be voted on, you will again likely only select those that favor liberals and make conservatives and right-wingers look bad.
That is not going to happen. Of course I have a liberal bias, but I promise that if there are enough suggestions, we will always have options from both sides of the spectrum. After all, if I were too partisan in all of this, people would quickly lose interest and ignore or boycot the whole thing.
Your proposal sounds costy. Who is going to pay for all this?
I will make the Mayberry pay for it.
Can you elaborate a bit on the vetting of new posters?
If you are not on the War Room citizen list, you are considered an immigrant and therefore are subject to vetting. People will get tagged and asked questions about themselves and get their posting history checked for the amusement of everyone else. They're basically free game for the duration of the vetting process. We are still working on the specifics here.
You promised a special prosecutor for @Jack V Savage and @RexKwonDo, do you still intend to do this?
Yes, but we will need a person with the necessary qualifications. The special prosecutor's duty will be to look through all of their combined 100k posts to dig up enough shit to lock them up.
Do you already have someone in mind for this position?
It must be someone with lots of time to look through old posts. We are looking at some people, but some are clearly more qualified and experienced than others for this specific role.
People who have been following the debates over the past few days also have noticed @Hans Gruber publishing very critical posts in the "Hansleaks".
Hans Gruber, I applaud his persistency and he may have found his true calling now that the U.S. elections are over in reading all of my posts, looking for quotes that somehow paint me in a bad light. He clearly is an amateur though or not very systematic in how he does what he does. I thus feel the need to help him.
Help him? In what sense?
Well, he is trying to dig up dirt on me, and so far all he has done is take meaningless posts and take them out of context or even misrepresent them. When you are on the War Room for years and years, there necessarily will be posts that in retrospect you would have written differently. So far, nothing what he has posted was one of those posts, though.
I will help him by pointing him to one of the most controversial discussions I've started some time ago. It was a discussion of incest and whether it should actually be punishable by law.

Well to understand that, you need to know that to me, not punishing something is not the same as actively endorsing it. So the premise of that thread was: If two consenting adults who are closely related engage in sexual activities that do not or cannot produce kids, should that really be punishable by law? The point here was not that I do not find incest wrong and gross - I do - but I find many other things wrong and gross, too, and they are not prohibited.
So how did that discussion go?
It was a pretty heated but very good and open discussion. After some initial rage from posters who thought the topic not even worthy of discussion, there was a point made that almost all incestual relations will have a strong power asymmetry and may have formed even before adulthood, thereby questioning whether actual informed consent is even possible. Those were such strong points that I conceded the position I brought up could not be defended. I am glad we had that discussion because now I was able to reconcile my basic liberal stance with my gut feeling that incest is just plain wrong and should not be happening.
Why are you bringing this up now?
I am not one to shy away from discussions, even if the topics are uncomfortable. I also am able to change my opinion if someone makes a point that I cannot refute. It happens, it's kind of why I am here.
One of the quotes Hans Gruber brought up seemed to paint you as a defender of German Chancellor Merkel, while @KBE6EKCTAH_CCP identified you as a vocal critic. What's correct now? Can you settle that?
I'm generally sympathetic to people who are fleeing from persecution and war. So like all other things, the refugee issue is one of scale. In the past, we largely knew who was coming into the country, the numbers were manageable and most of the refugees, e.g. those from Yugoslavia, eventually went back to their home countries.
That said, I understood Merkel's original move to take in large numbers of refugees as an attempt to avoid chaos on the Balkans more than as the humanitarian move she sold it as. That doesn't make it any less crazy, though. Calling her 'Mad Cow' is not wrong at all.
Merkel did increase the risk of terrorism in Germany greatly, but I maintain that it would have gone up anyway while ISIS was losing ground on the battlefield. We are witnessing an increase of sex crimes in Germany which still appears to be more or less anecdotical as of now, however.
I don't want to downplay that. I have started a thread myself on refugees assaulting underage girls in public swimming pools in my area. I still think both the risk of terrorism and the 'rapugee' issue are greatly overestimated in War Room discussions.
I also think it distracts from the bigger problem. It does not appear like most of these people will be going back anytime soon. The real price Germany will be paying is cultural. In 20 years, Germany - especially urban Germany - may look dramatically different from today. We are seeing where this leads in Paris and in Brussels. The backlash against Merkel is necessary, even if most people accentuate the wrong reasons and fear the wrong things.
There still is a large candidate pool. What do you think about your competitors?
Respected War Roomers like @MusterX and @Space, truly established greats, have not been able to gather a sufficient following so far. It's really slightly disappointing. I told you what I think about Jack V Savage. He needs to be locked up.
And what about @Palis? His campaign is investing a lot of effort...
...into nothing. Palis is a Sports Bar troll. #Palisgate has shattered his campaign, even though many of his followers are still holding on to him. A vote for Palis shows you are a cuck, it is really that simple. He called all of the War Room fucking stupid cans behind our backs, and he tried to rally his buddies in the Sports Bar to make him President here.
Don't you understand many posters want to make one of their own President? A right winger who supported Trump all along?
We all know that the right wing is in the majority in the War Room. But this is not about US or world politics. It is about the War Room. I love this place, I care about this place, even about the posters that make me furious in the morning and desperate in the evening.
Our polls do not indicate a clear favorite so far, but Palis still seems to have the support in spite of everything. Do you have any comment on that?
To the citizens of the War Room, I say: Think before you vote.
Do you really want to give someone your vote because he aligns with you on political views but believes you are "a can" and "fucking stupid"?
Do you really want to give your vote to someone who rallied his buddies in other subforums to fool you?
Do you really want to give your vote to someone who will smile at you, but then proceeds to go back to the Sports Bar and will laugh at you and how stupid your are behind your back both publicly and in Private Messages?
Do you really want your President to be a two-faced, vile conspirator?
The only thing I ask of you is: Consider my offer. It's a genuine one. I care about the War Room, and I will do everything I can to make it even better than it is today. I will never go to other subforums and talk bad about you. I will enter into discussions with you, I will try to win these discussions, I may make fun of your positions as you will hammer away at me for my opinions. But I will never outright disrespect you. We are the War Room, let us not allow an outsider to make a mockery of us!
