This is MMA, not BJJ. How many high level BJJ champions have we seen lose to even get submitted by lesser grapplers in the UFC? My point was, no matter how well you know submissions, you are not going to be able to improve your wrestling enough to stop a monster like Khamzat.
Burns’ BJJ maybe gives him a better chance than Porier and Masvidalof landing a hail mary submission off his back if Khamzat makes a mistake but he will most likely suffer the same fate as those two.
Burns has much more high level MMA expereinece over Khamzat.
Also, his grappling credentials are at the highest level:
n 2009, Burns became recognized when he won the silver medal at the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship.[8]
In 2010, Burns attained a high level of international success competing worldwide. He reached the semifinals of the European Open in January; he defeated heavy favorite Celso Venicius at the World Pro Cup trials; he won the World Cup finals in Abu Dhabi against Claudio Mattos, and he won the Brazilian Nationals in May.[8]
In 2011, Burns achieved his highest recognition as he won the gold medal in the 2011 World Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championships.[8]
In 2015, Burns won bronze at Abu Dhabi Submission Wrestling championships (ADCC).
All of that is far supeior to Khamzat being a champ of Sweden in wrestling, lol.
