Share your sherdog myths

Lmao

The" new breed"

That lasted about as long as schaub did vs nog

Cymen and Grappling Dummy were actually husband and wife and their time on Sherdog was a prolonged study on internet trolling for Cymen's doctoral thesis.

"Werdum exposed Fedor as a bad fighter who never fought top competition."
"Chris Weidman exposed Anderson Silva as a bad fighter who only became the GOAT by roids."
"Frankie Edgar exposed BJ Penn as a bad fighter with average boxing."
"Dan Hardy exposed GSP as a bad fighter who couldn't even do armbars."

"[insert legend of the sport] was exposed as a terrible fighter by [insert any opponent who wasn't finished in the first round] and he never fought anyone good anyway."

"The current UFC champions would have beat all the previous UFC champs. And the current ones are pretty mediocre."

The solution to this puzzle is of course that Silva was in fact out of his prime before he lost. Everyone who isn't a blithering moron knew this. You seem to be confused about what it means to be out of your prime. It means you are not as good as you once were, not that you should retire immediately.

But it's clear why you feel the need to play dumb (over and beyond how dumb you actually are): You pretend Silva was in his prime so the object of your nuthugging attention can receive maximum credit for his victory.

That dude thinks Mousasi was "dominated" by King Mo, so it's like arguing with a brick wall.

"I never heard of CM Punk until he signed with the UFC."

This isn't a myth: i never heard of this guy before he went to UFC (so, i heard of him here first).
The world is bigger than usa and wwe isn't so much popular in every country.

I remeber Moose unable to do pretty much anything...

This thread is a mish-mash of every thread in Sherdog. I'm out of here.

-Aldo vs Edgar was close

this is one of my favorites. Aldo won 3 rounds for sure, Andre Pederneiras told him to coast a little bit and he still most likely won the other rounds. Edgar may have squeezed a round here or there.

but then we fall into another sherdog myth which is that Aldo gets in trouble late in fights. lol like you can't coast a little bit after securing a win in a title fight.

and to add my own myth:

- Falcao and his friend got beat up by some cokehead punks in a gas station brawl.

It isn't even that popular in the US. I personally don't know anyone that watches it. Except this mentally handicapped guy named Mike I used to work with at the liquor store.

Falcao actually did a seminar here, I certainly didn't go to that one lel.

I'm pretty sure the ignore feature was invented because of those two.

Look at kings face after the fight. Moose packed his bags and walked off like eh you newb judges

Rewatch. Mousasi outstruck him on the feet (what little time they spent there), outstruck him from the bottom. Mo walked out looking like he had his orbital cracked and spent most of the time laying on top of Mousasi.

Another myth: Aging isn't real. We can live forever.

Prominent advocates of this extreme idiocy: Moneymma

Aging is only real for certain fighters, namely Big Nog, Cro-Cop and Fedor. Every loss they had after the age of 31 if fully excused. Anderson and Chuck, on the other hand, should've remained in their prime until their mid-50s.

Rankings matter

No, he beat Bonnar. You have to be in your prime to beat Bonnar. Ask Tito.
