Shane Carwin - Day in the Life

Such a ridiculously late stoppage.

Back in the day there used to be a show called UFC Unleashed on Spike TV. One night I was hanging out at a bar with the girl I was seeing, and Mir-Carwin came on.

I knew what was about to happen and had to explain that this was not how most fights go, and that the ref fucked up, bad. It looked like a crime.

I don't believe you.

was he really that juiced as some people are saying here? You'd think he would have more than half a round of cardio if he was on all the good stuff.
Not necessarily. If you've watched any fight Joe Rogan calls, and one of the fighters are somewhat muscular, u will know that all that muscle fills with lactic acid and causes u to fatigue rather quickly. HE SAYS IT EVERY TYRON WOODLEY or PAULA COSTA FIGHT. EVERYTIME!!!!

Wish he would have fought a lot more in UFC, he was fun to watch

I mean Carwin's name did appear on a buyers list of an indicted doctor who got pinched for selling Juice to athletes. So definitely not much of a secret he was likely using.
I don't think anyone ever doubted it, if we're being honest.

And there's always another doctor willing to bend the rules for money. Always.

That dude was something else. Even with steroids, very few people could get to the raw power and strength that Shane had. True freak. I just wish he could have had a longer career

Man, sometimes I think about what would of happened if Shane didn’t gas himself out trying to finish Brock.

Shane has got to be one of the hardest hitting heavyweights in the sports history and it’s a shame he’s not as widely recognised as other heavyweights.
I wish Cawin & Cain had to fight each other before they got to Brock. I think Carwin would've beat Cain but we'll never know.

That was nuts. Frank spent so much time bulking up for this fight like he could out muscle Carwin. Frank spent all his focus on not getting taken down against the fence and this let Carwin tee off on his head.

I see Greg Jackson and Trevor Wittman. Were they both his coaches?

I remember when Helwani asked him to comment on that...an awkward silence before Carwin said "No comments". LOL

The thing about the JDS fight is Carwin came in very light and looked like a completely different fighter, maybe it was in response to the Brock fight he worked on cardio heavy or he had something medically wrong with him. We'll never know. If only he had like 5 more prime years in the UFC, he would of been like an early Ngannou with a wrestling background. Was my favorite HW to watch between him and JDS/Cain/Brock.

I like "day in the life" videos, but this one just wasn't interesting. It showed him taking some supplements, going for a jog, leaving for work, taking some more supplements, and sweating after a workout. The most interesting thing about the video was that it was 12 years old.

Is carwin one of the few guys that is acceptable to openly talk about using gear on here? Lol he literally was a walking pharmacy and got caught for
it if I get banned for making fun of that that's retarded

Your name is Grandwizard666 out of curiosity is this a internet alter ego or do you keep that same energy in day to day life? Also do you live in a double wide or a single trailer?

Yep, between his size, being on the list, and refusal to even say a word when pressed on it, it's as close as you can get to burning a hole through a cup without actually doing it.

Frank Mir served a two year steroid suspension himself.

I'd call it an even playing field.

This was him at 6'3 265lbs.

His fight vs JDS was an instant classic. Made him become a full time engineer. Lmao
Carwin’s body was already falling apart at that point. Prime JDS seemed like a bad matchup for him but would have liked to see how Carwin matches up in his (short) prime.
