Shane Burgos is the new Shadface

Both of them had success with leg kicks. And both slowed down throwing leg-kicks. Thought that was odd. Mind you, I've thrown them before, and checked some big one's. It hurts, a lot! Had a golf ball size hematoma on my shin a couple of times. But these guys are conditioned for this, their shins have calcium deposit build-ups making it so they can take more damage. And yes, I saw Barboza's shin was bleeding. Just wondering if they both got rocked and forgot about the leg kicks...or maybe they both got hurt?

Not at all.

Rashad was a cocky fuck leading up to that fight. That meme was born out of spite. Burgos is cool as fuck, this face means nothing to me.

I know the contexts were different but the visual similarity was too much to ignore.

Man, that was a weird one. Like, I'm pretty surprised no one's calling it a work weird. I don't think it was faked either, but I've never seen that long a delayed KO in a fight before. Burgos' body just had a delayed hard reset.

A more cynical man would wonder if some big money came in late on a 3rd round TKO for Barboza...

No.. if a person thinks this is fixed explain why he would not have went down after the initial hit?

I think with a really good tanning session you have a point.

Burgos has always been overrated as a striker.

He "plays the part" of a elite striker with a lot of his movements but if you actually watch his fights he's very hittable and can't set anything up. There will always be a place for him in the UFC because he will beat a lot of lower ranked guys with his pressure and cardio but he's never going above the level he is currently at.

He sucks at taking a dive? Jake LaMotta could tell you all about fixing a fight poorly.

Again, I don't think it was but I'm surprised no one's put this idea out there yet, if only cuz it was so weird and without precedent.

The delayedness of it was weird and kinda scary tbh. He should not take any shots to the head for awhile after that.

Right? Like, that was one of those KO's where you are legitimately worried about what the long-term effects will be, even more so than a complete stiff-legged trip to the shadow realm, oddly enough.

You feel kinda icky after seeing the synapses just decide to say screw this and go on a work stoppage for something that happened that far in the past (in fight terms).

Dude, nobody does, because it is totally ludacris.
