The last place I lived, a few doors down from my address there was a registered sex offender. I knew him by first name and he always seemed like a cool guy. Would stop and stroke my dog and be friendly neighbors.
I didn't know of his sex crimes at teh time, but turns out when he was almost 40 or so he had sex with a minor, under her mums consent. Mum was a smack head.
She was between 14 to 15 at the time. So I don't really personally consider him a real sex offender really. Given teh age of consent here is 16.
A few years later I went on a lads holiday to Thailand (Patatya) which is already mostly known for their sex industry.
Some dude we paid to travel us around town on our first day, who was a British ex pat living their, doing guides. Well he turned out to be a legit nonce with sex crime against legit children (not up for it uk teens).
But besides him, we met loads of dodgy older ex pat British men in Thailand alone, there for teh sex industry.
