I just heard new interviews with Severn and Frye regarding the freakshow card in AZ in 5 days. Both indicated they had concerns over Tank passing the medical exam. No surprise. As a big Tank fan I am hoping he will show up and feel and do ok, but I am also wondering if this Severn-Tank fight will go down at all. It was said on Tank's own podcast around Jan that Tank is having medical issues and was also in a motorcycle accident.

Severn also said that he wanted to fight Shamrock, and isn't really interested in fighting Tank but will go through with it because he made a commitment to the promotion. He seemed upset that this new promotion didn't do their homework and plan for Ken being on a suspension after fighting Kimbo, and should have scheduled his fight with Ken accordingly.

“I have to go with Dan,” Frye said. “I think it’s going to be a less exciting fight than the last one they had, because time is not going to be on their side. But I think Dan will pull it off because I think he’s more serious about it, and ’Tank’ isn’t going to get off the barstool to train.

“But Dan’s got a little bit more ego to control and protect, so he’ll be training for it.”

In an email to MMAjunkie, Severn said there was only one condition to fighting Abbott.

“As long as he passes the medicals, and the Arizona Athletic Commission gives him the thumbs up…………………..yes!” the UFC Hall of Famer wrote.

I think anyone calling out Ken is pathetic because Ken clearly should not be fighting anymore.

First time I've ever seen a fighter promote a fight by wondering if his aged opponent is medically capable of entering the cage.

I think I remember hearing about Tank's motorcycle accident. Not good, especially when your already his age and have a history of heavy drinking. I doubt he'll be in any kind of shape to fight, regardless if he passes the medicals or not.

They should get Kimo as a back up....even though he may fail the PED test afterwards.

How could this fight be less exciting than the first one with Severn on Tanks back for a half an hour slapping the back of his neck?
