Set Up the HW & LHW Divisions for 2018

Now that Stipe/DC is confirmed, how would you set up fights for the top HW and LHW contenders? Mine:

HW:
Cain vs. Werdum 2 for next TS
***Epic rematch to determine the #1 contender

Ngannou vs. Lewis
***Whether Lewis wins or loses against Tybura, this fight needs to happen for the fans later this year once Ngannou is done with his break

Reem vs. Volkov
***Possible easy win for Reem, fun Dutch KB vs. Dutch KB match, and if Volkov wins then he flies up the rankings

Hunt vs. Tybura
***Whether Tybura wins or loses against Lewis, this would be a fun fight for the fans

Blaydes vs. Cain/Werdum 2 loser
***If Blaydes loses against Hunt, then this is a standard loser vs. loser match. If Blaydes beats Hunt, then a win against either Werdum or Cain catapults him to the top 3.

LHW:
Gus vs. OSP
***Whether OSP wins or loses against Latifi, he'd be a fun match up against Gus, who needs at least one more fight before securing his TS IMO.

Oezdemir vs. Glover
***Would be a glorious striking fest for the fans, and I don't want Volkan matched with another wrestler like Latifi.

Shogun vs. ?
*** Maybe Latifi? No clue on this one. I want Shogun to get one or two wins so he can get one last TS before retirement.

Ngannou taking time off so that fight isn't happening (https://www.mmafighting.com/2018/1/...off-following-loss-ufc-stipe-miocic)...Shogun needs to call it quits an is WAY past his prime...I like Cain v Werdum but I think Cain needs a fight or two before he steps in there with a top contender and chances are he'll get hurt during one of those tune up fights and wont face Werdum at sea level.

If Gus wants a title shot, he really should have to fight again. Otherwise, it'll be too long a layoff. Maybe try and get on the UFC 226 card in case one of DC or Stipe falls out of the fight. Regardless, he should fight the best guy available, whoever that is. As long as it isn't someone he's already fought like Glover, Manuwa, or Blachowicz. Alternatively, he could welcome Jones back, as long as that isn't too far away.

At HW, yeah, I wanna see Cain try and avenge that loss to Werdum. That's the fight I want.

Ngannou vs. Derrick Lewis is good too. Ngannou needs to fight a wrestler ideally, but there aren't many of them around.

Hunt is already scheduled to fight Blaydes at UFC 221 and Lewis is fighting Tybura on February 18th.

My matchups actually took into account Hunt/Blaydes and Lewis/Tybura. My bad for not making that clear.

• Cain is out until end of 2018. Thats why DC is fighting Stipe in July because Cain's comeback is a long ways away.

• I'd like Ngannou to fight winner of Tybura vs Lewis in late spring

• Werdum vs JDS 2 in late spring if JDS isn't suspended.

• Shogun vs Uriah Hall at LHW(since Hall can't make 185)
