Seriously, what are they waiting for?

Conor - Diaz 2

What the hell is going on? They can't be negotiating contracts. Are they really testing the idea to see how the fans will react?

I hate the idea, but I'd still buy the card.

It's UFC 200. They'll wait until the get the whole main card finalized before breaking the news. Even the other "official" fights are not really official yet...

They are waiting for people to forget that Ariel already broke the news

seems like the negotiations are still going on - diaz prob playing a bit of hard ball etc - but im not sure, seems like the fight is confirmed but just not officially confirmed - its been that way for a while, who knows - i get mixed signs personally

They are probably seeing the backlash on the forums about it and are thinking twice on it. It may still happen but I think they are hoping to find a bum for Conor at UFC 200. This fight makes no sense and will hurt his stock a lot if he loses again.

Nate probably doesn't want to lose to Conor ;) Maybe he wants more money for the trilogy.

Hopefully making a different fight that isn't so retarded

Like suggested by others it could be one of a few different reasons. It could be money, the public backlash or they may be waiting for something like the next Fox card to announce it.

The cards still over 3 months away, chill man

Probably arguing over the weight class so when Diaz wins again, Conor is still 'legit' above FW

Waiting to hold a press conference and anounce bouts on main card and still trying to negotiate with Gsp to see where he fits in on 200. Expect it mid April

Nate Diaz wants to milk them out for all the money he can...Dont blame em.

He should get more than Conor, if Conor really wants the rematch he should pay up.

Of course they are testing

The got their dummy helwani to put it out there

I have this feeling it's is going to be switched to Aldo

So much backlash for this matchup, Conor himself said at the post fight press conference that fight interests him. Conor needs to defend the belt, Jose deserves his rematch whether or not the fools out there agree.

Waiting for other fights to materialize for the card is the only thing that makes sense to me.

You can't be this dense. It's painfully obvious that they're waiting for CM Punk to clear a medical exam so they can pit him against Conor for the interim heavyweight championship.

I've heard that a major sticking point has been the weight. Conor is apparently demanding that it happen at 170 so that he can basically try to wipe away the last fight. Nathan wants it at 155, which is more natural for him when he is in shape. I heard that almost a week ago, though. Hard to believe they'd still be jammed up on that.

I think they will wait till the last minute in case a better idea comes along. That way they aren't stuck and won't look like fools if they change their minds like they did when they promised Meisha a title shot and changed to Holly, or when they basically promised Frankie a fight with Conor.

Hopefully they are making a different match up. The UFC has plenty of time and plenty of opponents for Conor, particularly challengers in the FW division. I'd still love to see Conor vs RDA as well.
