Honest question. What is the point of testing leading up to an event if you don't get the results before the card? Does this not defeat the clear point of this testing? A June 28th test and you're just getting the results back days after the fights.

That's a fatal flaw in the system. It's time to speed up getting these results back or start testing these guys earlier end of discussion.

I say, get rid of USADA. Put the fighters on a regimented, allowed PED program and let them fight.

NFL and NBA testing is a joke, why should mma be the cleanest sport?

I know it would have been nice had Jone's violation been brought to light after UFC 200 as well.

Its not perfect, but ideally the fine and suspension is enough to prevent the fighter from cheating again, whilst deterring other fighters from using banned substances.

Because fighting is very different then throwing balls through hoops.

Depends on your perspective I suppose.

Brock falling of the card, especially after Jones, would have been a fucking disaster for the UFC so I'm guessing they don't mind the time frame too much at all.

Pride had it right all along.
UFC had it right before USADA. Fight night testing. If you fail a test that you know is coming they should probably ban you for life just for being a numb nuts. But shit like this is some serious fuckin chicanery.

Uhhh, the NFL is far worse for hits than mma. A punch is a punch, but when a 280 lb guy can run a 4.3 40 and collide helmet first into another person, PEDs are basically a deadly weapon.

This is what Angel Heredia suggested- so that everyone is on a level playing field.

He said the "magic cocktail" is EPO, testosterone, and growth hormone. I doubt it would ever be allowed, but I feel like this would be more fair than what's going on now.

Fertitta did say it is going to get worse before it gets better.

McGregor & Diaz must be laughing their asses off right now.

The NFL discourages rough play, and penalties are common for those players who do.

I used to be strictly against PEDs, and I still sort of am because I have heard that it can contribute to injuries in practice as it helps the muscles grow at a way faster rate and the tendons don't grow as strong in the same time. Now though I am leaning more towards let them all use but in a controlled manner. I just want this shit to be even.

Let's see Lorenzo pass a USADA test. Guy looks like the Hulk now.

Of course they don't mind Brock brought huge ratings to the card. That's not the point here. The point is this system is flawed.

Anti doping is never going away. Look at all the athletes we see dying young of heart attacks. You know that will translate into lawsuits if a company is to condone it.

I agree. Fuck usada. I'm tired of fights getting cancelled and my favourite fighters getting suspended for taking vitamins they bought at walmart. Plus, as the fighters start to realize they can't get away with doping, we'll probably see even more injuries and fighters gassing. Fuck it. If you don't want to take peds, then accept your disadvantage or dont become a fighter. Fuck usada. Fuck this bullshit. I wanted to fucking see jones vs cormier. They were both willing, despite the positive test.

Who does this serve? The one fighter who wants to be clean? Fuck him. Take this needle or find a day job.

If the UFC was concerned with Bork testing + they would not have allowed him to fight. The UFC could not have seriously signed off on Brock fighting thinking he was not on the juice. If you don't want fighters using ped's then they should set an example and starting dropping the hammer. Otherwise UFC should just let them bang bro.

You finally post a comment and I can't like it.

After Silva & Jones popping, I should stop being surprised.
