At the very end of round one Nate wraps his legs around Conor in a sort of upside down north south position. Now, my question for you BJJ guys, what could Nate have done from that position?

Edit: Here's an ok shot of that position.

I need pics, but possibly an inverted triangle. I don't remember he putting Conor in danger in the first round though

nothing because conor was holding the fence.

Yeah, it was like literally a couple of seconds from the end of the 1st. Just wondering what he could have done from that position.

he was attempting a sweep and possibly attacking the leg afterwards. he actually managed to off-balance conor, but conor grabbed the fence. he probably wouldn't have done much, even if he got the sweep though, as time was running out.

You can attack the legs or sweep your opponent and get the reverse mount.

I think that at that late stage in the round he was just going for defense and waiting for the round to end. There wasn't enough time to pull off a sub.

Go to youtube. Search "Donkey Guard." You'll see the dozens of options he would have from there.

He was going to tornado sweep conor through the cage but didn't beat the buzzer.

He was going for a sweep, hence Conor clutching the fence for dear life, so he didn't wind up on his back.

Herb dean had to rip McG's hand off the fence, but by then the round ended.

JUST* BJJ guys or does this expand to include catchwrestlers (who are great at leg work), judokas and "regular" jiu-jitsu guys?

Here's a freebie. Good place to start is 2:16. Glover shows a back take to RNC and heelhook entry.

Dog, you know "they" lump us all together. Diverse grapplers know better though. Cut him a little slack. He likely doesn't train.
