Twice Sergei counters his opponent's overhand right with a left hook. Can someone break down his technique?
time stamp would be nice
I'm guessing you're talking about 5:19 and 5:23.
Too lazy to watch the fight and timestamp them. But they all seem like the one in 5:23. You can see Miller winding up so Sergei slides out of the way. Miller is winding up and hitting so hard that he overextends or loses balances after missing opening him up for all kinds of shots.
5:19 looks like a regular jab first then Miller threw a overhand right as a form of counter. He's just throwing overhand rights everywhere, winding up, poor form and got countered.
Poor fight.
As for Sergei, he saw the wind up, arches back to dodge the overextending right, slings back to a hook. Very powerful counter.
yea same thing. Lean back, side step, hook. Way over extended on Miller's part. And no head movement5:23 and 5:41

Could you tell if Sergei was pivoting?
