Ive been a conor fan since his ufc debut and i think
What he has done to the sport is incredible. Ime not one of his annoying fans, but i did think he would beat Nate. After last night i can admit hes far from the fighter i thought he was. His ground game is poor and his defence was not that great. He was truly tested last night and gave up. He shooted for a takedown in true desperation and tapped quicker than Sage. I am truly gutted he went out like that.

I think your disappointment is causing you to be slightly too harsh. He gassed and was rocked by a good punch from Diaz. The submission was almost a formality.

It's really a matter of strategy to some extent. He needed to adapt his style to somebody with longer reach, and to be less careless. With adequate preparation and a change in gameplan, he could easily rematch him and win a decision.

I'll always enjoy his fights, i'll always enjoy his style. There's not many fighters that have the ball's to do what he has done so i'll always respect him for his attitude. All ime saying is i won't be quick to think hes untouchable again.
