Has anyone seen this commercial on TV yet?
I couldn't find the shorter TV version.

cliffs:
- Hipster girl in front of a mirror practices complaining to her boss about her male
coworker making more money.

- Old trigglypuff overhears her while dropping a deuce and tells her to "do it".

- Girl nods courageously, takes a deep breath and walks away. Commercial says she's doing her
part to close the wage gap.

LMAO... she can't even convince HERSELF that she deserves a raise/promotion.

I want to pitch a reality show to TLC ( Is that still a channel?) An all male construction crew vs an all female construction crew. Just to see who's more productive, does better work, works harder, earns their pay. (I already know the answer)

It's nice that they are admitting that salary negotiations will do more for closing the gap than blaming men.

who cares. it's a company trying to sell a product to women. they just make these "rah rah female!" commercials so ppl will support the brand and buy their product. they ain't give a shit otherwise.

You know that squat seething cave troll hates that chick because she's attractive and young. There's no way they would support, much less communicate with each other. The bulk of today's feminists hate young attractive women more than rapists.

----

It's a good marketing decision that they cut off the end part of the scene where they nod to each other, salute and exclaim "WHITE POWER!"

If enough companies tell this lie to sell products, it will become the truth.

If any chick at work asks you what you make, it's a good idea to not answer or make up a low number because it can't work in your favor, regardless.

what will become the truth? that there's a wage gap and women are pissed about it? meh, pretty sure ive seen on some campaign commercials women say if they're voted in they're going to fix the wage gap or w/e. it's not like this is a new thing. feels more like the people sitting high have heard so many people make a fuss about it that they're trying to capitalize on it.

just like dove has done with their body acceptance campaign. as if dove actually gives two fucks about fat women feeling good. meh. they just want money.

There's no wage gap. It's illegal for starters.

And if there was one, employers would stop hiring men to hire women who work for cheaper, which doesn't happen.

It's a misused statistic. It's gross. Don't believe that shit.

Fixed

Nothing good comes out of mentioning your salary / pay

Guy asking finds out you make more, gets pissed
Guy asking finds out you make less, he mocks and tries to treat you like a bitch

A former co worker got salty cause I avoided the question

coworker: New guy, so what do you make?
j123: ?
coworker: ....
j123: How much do you make?
coworker: I asked you first
j123: I'll tell you how much I make, after you tell me how much you make. Lets be real, if I make less, you're going to laugh, if I make more you'll be pissed

--he walks away salty--

i wasnt arguing whether there is or isn't one
just that a lot of people bitch about it, and then others, such as companies or politicians, try to use it in a way that will benefit themselves

lol, is this something people really do?
weird
as a general rule i think its best to say out of ppls financial business altogether. i feel it would be rude otherwise. i guess its fine if others share that information voluntarily (as in bring it up themselves), tho i still dont care n pay it no mind lol. but def out of lines imo to ask a stranger this

but thats just me xD

That's why that show will never air.

The aversion to disclosing your own wage has got to be the dumbest thing that was ever ingrained into the American worker culture. Want to prevent "wage gap"? Talk openly and honestly about your wage.

Everyone checks "glassdoor" when applying for a job

Next thing you know, the gay agenda is going to be shoved down our throats in tv shows about zombies of all things.
