Sean O’Malley next fight

The UFC will continue to protect him, I don’t see a title shot in his future…at the least there shouldn’t be..
The "UFC is protecting him" complaint went right out the window when they gave him Yan. How can you still be repeating that garbage?

Would love to see him rematch Chito. Two entertaining guys. Both in their prime with some beef and history. It is the fight to make.

Sterling vs Henry could end in multiple ways. God knows how long Suga would have to wait with either of those two holding the belt. They are both notorious for really really long bouts in between fights. Can't be sitting on your butt waiting 18 months for those two hosers to heal up or decide if they want to retire or stay.

Seems unlikely that he waits for the Sterling Cejudo fight to happen. .

That's exactly what he's doing. He said so in his podcasts many times. Right now he's good spending the next couple months working on his grappling so he will be ready for the winner in July

Apparently he’s gonna fight for the title. So… let’s say he loses. What happens then? Does he keep fighting high level contenders? Does he try to get back to the title or would he ask easy fights to pad his record more?

He gets beat to a bloody pulp and saved by corrupt judges.

He has zero wins in the top 15. He didn't beat Yan. You can say its a closer fight than Paddy/Jared but the concensus is still that Yan won, plus O'malley got away with a ton of cheating in that fight, free cage grabs and glove grabs to prevent takedowns, he got that Dana White Privilege where Herb Dean doesn't call your fouls because they want you to win. Go search it on youtube there's entire breakdowns of all the fouls, Conor/Khabib levels of cheating that the commentary nor Herb Dean called, Yan complained about it during the fight too.

Yan was also stylistically one of the better matchups for him because O'malley had a height/reach advantage and is a faster starter in a 3 round fight. All the stars were aligned for him to win that fight and he still lost it especially cause he should've lost a point for all the fouls. So he's not deserving of a title shot at all. He has zero credible ranked wins in the UFC after being here 5 years, disgraceful.

I can see it now. The UFC 'books' aljo vs cejudo. Cejudo has to withdraw and UFC books O'Malley 'last minute.'

Cejudo is fighting for the belt. If O'Malley can sit in the wing and wait for a title shot that might be the best course of action.

Would like to see the Chito fight also and work big time on his grappling defense, because if he fought Sterling now it would be a back pack fest.

Cejudo fight ain't happening lol. O'Malley gets put in his place

Sandhagen and Barboza, two of the biggest choke artists in all of MMA.

Sandhagen doesn't choke. He got rocked early I think vs Yan and continued to fight his ass off. The aljo fight he got blitzed in a grappling sense a bit and just had a top of the food chain grappler take his back early when they were dry. He had a 50-50 fight with dillashae and was going for it the whole time. When has he quit? When has he fought scared?

ETA: and did you see him withstand all those tight armbars in an earlier fight to win? So many people would've tapped there
