Sean Muscle Shark Roof Seller Sherk

The word around the campfire back in the day was he didn’t get invited back to Pride because the organization considered him a threat to their lightweight Japanese stars
Really impressive resume in hindsight, he only ever lost to really big dogs , Hughes,Bj,Gsp& Edgar

It makes sense, so it sucks that we never saw Sherk vs Gomi. Honestly, if anyone had the power to put Sherk out in PRIDE's LW division, it would've been Gomi.

Roofs are kinda great though? Some guys just made mine stop leaking.
Really like those guys! But still hate the rest of them. Fucking painters!
In real life it is probably at best 50/50 if someone does a good job.
But last guy was a roof guy so I now love them! (why complicate stuff?).

Sherk was an awesome fighter, he has a great record and he was impossible to tap. It was always hilarious to me when guys tried to apply chokes to him hahaha, he had no neck, their chokes were around his pecs lol, he never got tapped out in his entire career and I saw lots of guys try to apply various chokes like guillotine chokes, triangle chokes, rear naked chokes and Sherk must have been laughing his ass off..... then what always happened was he would reverse position and pound them to pieces.

Great fighter, one of the best LWs ever. Sherk was crazy strong, I seen him fight live once back in the day, he was unbelievably strong. It would have been awesome to see him fight new LWs likes Khabib and Islam, instead of those very slim strikers with nothing on the bones that they fight these days. Styles make fights. Sherk was so strong in the grappling

One of the most under rated fighters ever imo.

Sean was a fucking tank. He had an explosive double leg TD that was half wrestling and half open field form tackle, and he would gladly drive his opponent 20 feet across the cage to get a TD.

Solid stifling top game. This is where people, somewhat fairly call him boring, and his title fights... you could randomly pick any time in the Hermes fight and bet your left nut that it would be Sean on top, half guard or side control, rinse repeat repeat.

He is one of the few that you could complain about "lay and pray" and be justified... but as a devils advocate... is it his fault his opponents couldn't stuff his TDs or sweep him? And he was usually fairly active with ground and pound.

Under appreciated boxing. Dude had t Rex arms and still managed to do quite well striking.

Great cardio. Good pressure and Pace.

Phenomenal record.
Started out 31-1, finished his career 36-4
Only lost to champs, and elite champs at that, GSP, Hughes, BJ and Frankie, so guys who probably won an average of half a dozen UFC title fights.

And did all that fighting in my opinion about 2 weight class above where he should have been for a maybe 5'6 manlet.
Sean was probably a bit smaller than Aljamain Sterling and spent years as a top 3 WW.

His prime was during the era when UFC didn't even have a LW division for a while (forget 145 or 135)

It honestly is.

Sherk always had a crazy work ethic and was actually a fairly intelligent guy who made it a point not to stick around in the game too long.

Fun fact, before the UFC re-signed him to get murdered by Final Boss Form GSP, he had given up on fighting and started his own flooring company. He was tired of "flaky promoters" not paying him and the UFC was still being really terrible to him because he tried to play hardball with them when his contract was up.

Fast forward two years, the LW division exists, and he's the champ!
I didnt know that!

Good to see Sherk around healthy.

To this day, I wish he wrestled more against Edgar. It woulda been really interesting if he chose to do that..the power double that he hit against Edgar was really nice.

he also got stripped of his title for taking PED's Nandrolone but i guess you thought it was better to gloss over that fact. lol

that basically the majority of construction, not just roofers
Contractors are all garbage, that's why they don't have normal jobs bc they can't keep them, pay them for the day they show at at 12:30 and leave by 5 and take a lunch in between.

Sherk is wildly underrated, PEDs nothwithstanding. In 41 fights, he only lost 4 - all to absolute legends (GSP, BJ, Hughes, Frankie). And 2 of those losses were against much bigger opponents at WW.

His consecutive wins over Nick, KenFlo, and Hermes were very impressive.
A man who knows his history. Respect.

If I wasn’t straight I’d fuck you no homo

Wonder if he's one of those roofers who primarily work with realtors and suggest all kinds of unnecessary/expensive repairs for a cut of the commission.

Man, our market is the opposite problem. We do not have enough roofers to actually get shit done. Big waiting lists and small jobs get pushed to other contractors who really aren't roofers.

he fought that test and got his suspension cut in half, which is an admission that something was amiss.

That being said his training regiment seemed like it would be a disaster without something to help recover.
