Stand by Me
Don’t fight me sir.
Stand by me is one of my favorite movies of all time.
Lord of the rings is like some kind of juggernaut though tbf.

I’m reading a thread about Sean Astin…what am I doing with my life?
He's the heart of the goonies and then kinda fades for a decade.
Then he pops up as Rudy and the fades again for a decade.
Then he pops up as the the Sam in the Lord of the rings trilogy.
It's like this dude comes out of his hole once per decade to make a huge movie where audience's cry and root for him.
He might be the greatest ever at playing underdogs.
Fair play to him. Shows tenacity, dude could have easily just quit like so many others but stuck with it
What stands out with the Goonies is actually how bad it was for the short term careers of most of those involved, Feldman is really the only one who carried on getting big roles in the years afterwards.
He was head of CTU I believe on one of the seasons of 24.
uh, he's not an A-Lister or anything, but he did other fun movies than Rudy and the goonies. Encino man, Toy SoldiersHe's the heart of the goonies and then kinda fades for a decade.

Joe Pantoliano made out OK.
I'd guess being typecast as a mafia goon is never that terrible for your career were as I think the "loveble smartass teenager" kind of role dried up pretty fast when the 80's ended.
Huh?
