Scientists have reversed the direction of time with a quantum computer; breakthrough study

Wait -- You didn't have to do ANY quantum classes as part of an EE degree? What coconut college does that? The entire area of solid state electronics is related to solid state physics which is very limited without QM. No physical optics or fiber optics?

I took 2 QM classes in ugrad and another in grad school as part of my EE degrees.

Who said I didnt do any quantum physics? There was loads of optics and suchlike. I just found loads of the central assumptions confusing and counter-intuitive.

Coconut college? How very dare you!

Leftists have reversed the direction of time. Now going backwards.

The implications of this are horrifying if in the wrong hands. Imagine this in conjunction with cloning.

Wait

So they didn't reverse time
By using two quibits - ones and zeros that can change places - they found they could randomly generate a reverse mathamatical equation of the "break up." It's an extremely efficient problem solving ability by the quibits, and it's definitely interesting that it works best with 2 quibits and not more... But it's a sign of what machines do - whats asked of them with extreme efficiency.
It's easier to calculate the reverse of a super complicated event - than it is to freeze time and then force the objects backwards through it.

this is fucking clickbait

Scientists actually were able to super compute an extremely complicated incident backwards through two number variables.

This is the cool thing though.

If this technology can be advanced, it would mean we could understand and reverse engineer almost any mathematical or physics related problem.

I've been trying to invent a go back in time and fuck Debbie Harry when she was hot machine.

So far it's just one of these -

and a Fleshlight but I'm hoping to get Goverment funding real soon

So yeah, the time thing is a really bad analogy. Returning billiard balls back to the rack in the correct order after a break is not the same as uncooking an egg, but pretty cool nevertheless.

It alleviates the black box effect where you get an answer but have no idea how your machine arrived at its answer. This appears to be a method for checking your work.

But to be honest time travel would be insanely dangerous. Whoever has it will do crazy shit.
After a lot of being put in the grandfather paradox, many have concluded you can't change the past, so I'm not too worried about that yet, personally.

They should probably just call it kinetic reversal as it sounds less hyperbolic.

Kinda misleading title tbh, I love science but this has absolutely zero impact on day to day life and never will.

To give even the slightest hint at 'going back in time' is absolute click bait garbage tbh

And what is the pool table example all about? To a simpler mind like myself they are saying just press rewind in a very fancy way.

The implications of this are horrifying if in the wrong hands. Imagine this in conjunction with cloning.
Can you explain in a very simple analogy how this and cloning would be horrifying in the wrong hands?

Because as far as i'm aware it's two things that don't exist coming together to well be one thing that doesn't exist...
