Why the fook should Ariel fight anyone? The guy never claimed to be a fighter or even any kind of athelete. Why is he getting called out to any kind of fight? It's just dumb. Why not compete with him in journalism, since that's what they both actually do?
 
This character has been around mma for quite some time and has personally done nothing I would be of interest in. Some solid guests. I think he kinda made me chuckle once. Or maybe it was his guest. Yeah like other folks said. Levels

Absolutely love the Schmo he reminds me of narwal how he trolls and makes fighters laugh with him. Ariel is also pretty dope honestly
 
Not gonna lie. Never knew I wanted to see a fight between whiney Ariel and the weird guy who hangs out at Xtreme Couture all day bothering everybody.
 
The Schmo has bigger fish to fry with making it up to Dana White. Hes gotta get on his knees and work OT before he's out of a job.
 
Ariel incurs Dana's wraith by asking questions that doesn't toll the UFC company line and doesn't kiss Dana's ass. Schmo gets Dana pissed because he ask frat boys questions while still kissing Dana's ass

I can't stand either of them. Ones a spineless crybaby nitwit, the other is a total gimmick. They could both fall off into bolivion :) tomorrow and not a single thing about my MMA awareness or consumption would change in the slightest.
 
It is a pretty pathetic sight when two utterly unathletic journalists seek to out-toughen the other. Whoever stays quiet wins in this context.

Wiggle out of what, exactly? He’s the most accomplished and famous MMA journalist ever. The Schmuck is pushing this nonsense to further his own brand. Why in the hell would someone of Ariel’s caliber stoop to this amateur’s level and engage in a stupid charity exhibition? Let alone one where he would get ragdolled and tapped out? I’m pretty sure the schmuck has been training BJJ for at least a couple years. Ariel stands to gain nothing from this. In all seriousness, though, Ariel is pretty decent at basketball for an unathletic journalist type. I’ve heard fighters praise his skills on The MMAH in the past.
 
I love the tears that Ariel causes. Alleged grown men are on Sherdog literally crying and shaking in anger, calling him names and denigrating his manhood on an internet karate forum. The irony is hilarious.

Dude is successful and good at his job. I'm rooting for him.
 
At least Ariel uses his real name and doesn't wear a costume.

Imagine having a career where you call yourself "The Schmo" and have to wear weird shit just to get niche sport athletes to talk to you. Pathetic. I never found this guy entertaining or funny.

Ariel can be annoying and holier than thou as well, but at least he isn't playing a character to do his job.
