Schaub's Comedy Special: Gringo Papi

He's a pathological liar, but man is it hilarious to observe...

<Dany07><Dany07><Dany07>

I don't think he really meant to say that big celebrity was a fan of him. May someone told him that the A-lister was "a fan" in the sense that the security doesn't want to scare Schaub and co. because of all the guns.

Since I'm not a 13 year old girl, my threshold for gossip is zero. I do enjoy all of these people's podcasts, including Trash Tuesday, and I've seen all the rumor/innuendo shit involving Schaub and those girls - everything from him trying to get Annie to give him blow jobs after comedy shows to him hooking up with Khalyla. The Internet is a wild and wacky place where literally everything that anyone could possibly think up has been claimed authoritatively somewhere. I believe exactly none of the gossip mill shit. Until people say stuff out in the open using names and dates, it's just fodder for sad people who live their lives on the Internet.

That had nothing to do with Joey throwing shade at Schaub. What he's not fond of is an asshole trying to kill two birds with one stone and insult him and Schaub at the same time. Here's a more accurate representation of Uncle Joey's thoughts, from his initial prejudice to his eventual respect.

Ricky runs rings around everyone on every podcast. He's one of the quickest and funniest dudes out there. But Schaub did well playing with him. The "nicotine helps brains" thing was one of the funniest parts of the podcast and you can see Schaub lean into it and then laugh on the cut. Seriously, this feels like Qanon shit or the pizzagate shit, with people scouring the Internet looking for messages from everyone confirming that everyone on the planet hates Brendan Schaub. Rick is just super quick and super snarky. Do you also think that he hates Esther Povitsky?

He's actively paying them, as we speak. He does the road, he does the small spots, he goes to the markets where it's not just his fans, he does everything that you're supposed to do as a comic, which is why people on the Internet hate him but his peers respect him. Whether you find him funny or not is a separate conversation. To dispute that he's grinding and putting in the work is just sour grapes.

I don't know who Rob Dyrdek is, but dude, D'elia broke down expressing how grateful he was for Schaub and that crew.

And Santino doesn't hate Schaub. He fucking sat in for Callen on TFATK a million times, he had Schaub on Whiskey Ginger.

There isn't enough shit out there on Schaub to satisfy the blood lust of the haters? You guys really have to make shit up and create fictional allies for yourselves out of Schaub's real-life friends in your all-consuming hatred of him?

The Internet is a wacky place, man.

I think there is an overwhelming correlation between people spending so much time hating schaub and being unsuccessful. I've never known anyone that was successful that spent so much time hating someone and wishing for their downfall. People complain and say how "lucky" he is while they are sitting on their couch eating doritos while never having the motivation or hard work to be successful. It's just sad really.

Yes he did. He's a pathological liar. The story is complete bullshit.

Here's another made up story of his where he's at a mall in Atlanta and one of the security guards greets him as "B Schaub" because "he's a fan".

He says that all the time in his stories. A “fan” comes up and tells him something. No one is a Schaub fan lol.

Like the time he said his brand new hummer broke down. And he pushed it all the way to a gas station (who’s steering and braking?)
When he gets to the gas station the attendant recognizes him and is a “fan” and then tells him UFC fighters don’t get paid enough.

He’s so dumb he thinks people believe him lol

Why do you care so much? Also, how do you know that didn't happen? Were you there? Shit is just weird.

Wtf man. That’s the worse lie I’ve ever heard

Why do you care?
I used to be a hater of many things and then I realized that I was just jealous of people being more successful than me. So rather than caring so much about things I didn't like I started caring more about things I do like and how it can attribute to my success. My life has been much better since.

Solid response. I'm sure you're the first and only person to say such a witty response to a valid recommendation.

Not watching that video. Never subjecting myself to Schaub's "comedy" again after watching most of his first stand up video.

I'm willing to bet that people get bigger laughs from the IMDB page for this than any of his "jokes."

This is another comment that has me convinced that you don't actually follow comedy and therefore have no idea what's happening in that industry, as virtually everyone now is opting to produce and release their own specials on their own YouTube channels rather than give up control and a piece of the pie to other networks/platforms.

I don't like Schaub or pretty much anything he's involved in but I do agree with most of what you said except this. Where are you getting this info from? Chris Distefano is another up and coming comedian and he was going to release his special on youtube. Then at the last minute Netflix decided they wanted it so he canceled that idea. Shane Gillis who also released on youtube made it clear that no one wanted it so he was forced to do it. Comedians are doing this because talented people are having issues getting their special picked up not because they don't want the big pay day that comes with Netflix, Showtime, etc buying it. So they release is on youtube and hope the bump helps them similar with what Andrew Schultz did.
