I get that he was mounted, but he blocked a lot of those punches tbh. I think stopping a fight with 10 seconds left is dumb UNLESS he's clearly out of it.

Minority opinion in new school mma.
I'm of the belief that the fighters no longer need to know how to work for a rearnaked properly, or to find a home for their punches. They just need to get on top and spaz with ineffective punches, and the onus is on the mounted to keep turning from back mount to front mount, getting hit in the transition, to prove that they are defending.
Silly as fuck.
However, so is the guy on top not being able to stand up and stomp, or move to side control and knee.
The game is based on wrestling and damage control now.
