Schaub changes his orientation on Francis Ngannou

2017:
"I am not ready to crown him Heavyweight champion of the world, the G.O.A.T like everyone else right away. I am not trying to suck his Cameroon d*ck like everyone. He has to prove it to me."

2019:
If he got he got his ass whooped like that by Stipe, and then come...bounce back like the way he did, against strikers, against elite grapplers... dude, it's just a matter of time before he becomes world champion.

***************************************************************************************************************

So question is, has Francis "proved it" to Schaub? And what does that imply?

You sound like a homeless cat.

Get going you will be late to your shift at Chang's.

Smart people are prepared to change their mind

Dumb people aren’t

(Disclaimer - I’m not suggesting ‘big brown’ is a smart person!)
Watching Rogan, Callen, Bravo and Schaub talk together it's obvious Schaub is by far the smartest of the group.

He's the only one that will actually think about what people say and give inquisitive questions to learn more. Joe just shits all over Eddy, Eddy believes everything he reads, Callen is an egomaniac and Schaub actually has rational thoughts. Compared to those 3 he's a genius.

Are you sure about that?

I see what you did there

Was easy to write off Ngannou as overhyped derailing. Then he KO's 3 great fights in a few minutes. How can't you change your opinion?
Well to be fair KOing three (well 2 anyway) top guys in a few minutes still hasn't answered any of the questions the Stipe fight presented.

We already knew he could KO guys quickly so all thats happened is he's reaffirmed what we already knew but has done nothing to answer the question of what happens when he's taken out of his comfort zone and things don't go his way in the first round.

Until those questions are answered changing your mind based on the same evidence that formed your original position isn't really being smart or subjective, it's buying into the same hype you had before for the exact same reasons.

Don't get me wrong, the dude has a lot of potential and could go on to become a champion but he's literally shown us nothing we didn't already know he brought to the table.

No one has said Francis is GOAT.

He isn't a fluke, tho.

Francis has repeatedly been able to blast away the best HW's.

IMO, he was well past the fluke label before he fought Cain.

Completely wrecking JDS and Velasquez in a combined minute and a half just further cemented that he's no one hit wonder.

Ngannou has beaten Blaydes 2x's, Reem, AA, Cain and JDS.

That's just too many all time HW greats to be considered lucky.

He's definitely not GOAT, tho. Definitely a bit too early for that. I honestly would have liked to have seen Stipe Ngannou II before Stipe DC II.

if francis has proved it, when will brendan suck it? that's what his original quote implies, right?

A missed question that I don't see people talk about is how in that first round he was like a deer blinded by the big stage and winging punches at inappropriate times. He was anxiety filled with so much on the line that he was not imposing his striking effectively. You can see how relaxed he is now in main events against the biggest hw stars. I think a rematch where Francis is loose and comfortable he can land those big punches, which will make stipe hesitate closing the distance. Also I think the Francis/Blaydes 2 shows how he handles wrestling.

I'll put money down that even yoel and Whittaker can beat ngannou in an open weight fight. Like the 6'9" motherfuckers frame and height is too big to be grappling with anybody on the ground. He's a liability to himself and will lose to any high level wrestler with good striking (yoel Romero, Robert Whittaker, tyron Woodley, Usman etc) even at middleweight and welterweight.
