Seems like all fighters out of SBG has immaculate posture in and outside the octagon.

Are there any benefits to this?

In before the SBG haters get their claws out

Because a lot of them are short and want to look taller

Lol dude, I have no idea

Having great posture with your feet positioned correctly and not square does wonders for ur chin. Strikes u absorb dont just go right to ur neck and have ur chin/head absorb everything and the force works its way down to ur legs so u can take hits better.

In boxing a guy like Tommy Hearns as great as he was offensively had terrible posture. He has a big hunch these days and he was known for having a glass chin back then. Conor outside Nate fight never got rocked, even @ FW he took bombs from Chad. Gunnar has only been rocked once by Rick but that was when he was coming forward

Never-ending grabass, touchbutt, etc, keeps nuckas on they toes. Guys in prison walk tall too.

Just a theory.

Also I have no idea WTF is happening here.

One of them win = stupid fans get excited with their pee pee hards thinking this is some revolution in mma
One of them loses = the same stupid fans criticize it.

If the fighter is skilled no matter what posture he has, Gunnar is not a noob.

Gunnar actual has a slightly strange posture. As if he has an anterior pelvic tilt.

I've noticed this myself being a huge fan of Conor, Gunni, and well the SBG gym itself.

I would say yes minor benefits, less of a chance with back problems, great posture can give an inch in height, studies also show that it helps build a stronger core and ensures proper breathing.

yes there are benefits to better posture

aids in proper breathing which helps you get more oxygen to your brain which helps you think more clearly and make better decisions. Your posture also helps your mental image both to your own self and to others it's a psychological tool because it projects strong confident body language.

There are actually quite massive benefits to standing upright. Physically and mentally.
