So, my gma's check went thru this morning for her car.
84 years old, can't remember a god damn thing, shouldn't be driving but she passed my checklist of things to do before I'd take her to get a car.
No one was willing to taker her except these other 2 cans that are a couple, that have been helping her on and off, they took her to get her license re-newed.
So I chose to take her instead of having them do it because I know how she is and can give her ground rules, she still thinks she's mentally 30.
Gave her a bunch of ground rules and the first thing I told her once she got in her new car was to follow me back to her house (about 20 minutes away).
We were near a state road where the speed limit is like 60, so I told her to make sure she's stays to the right and doesn't accidentally merge onto there.
So, not only does she pull out of the dealership before I even get in my car, she goes and takes the U-turn she is supposed to while I jump in my car and try to catch her.
She goes directly on the state road I told her not to go on and traffic was bad so I couldn't get over in time. I'm calling her about 1000 times and then it dawns on me that her phone wasn't
in her purse when I took her license out for the check to go thru. I start panicking because if she doesn't get off almost immediately that state road is going to take her Tampa and she'll be on the
interstate. I call my mom, panicking, and I take another U-turn so I can get on the state road to try and find her, I'm driving up and down calling her about 1000 times trying to find her.
I pull over and throw up because I'm about as nervous as I've ever been in my life, mainly because if something happens to her, not only will I feel terrible because it's my
grandma, but everyone in the family
will blame me since I took her, even though I'm the only one that's been taking care of her, helping her go to the bathroom, doing her grocery shopping, taking her to the doctors, and getting her medicine
the past 2 years. Anyway, I say fuck this searching shit and just go to her house on the off chance she made it home ok. I get there and there's her car in the driveway, I knock on the door and ask why
she didn't answer the phone and she says she was in the bathroom, and asks why I'm there. I say because you were suppose to follow me, then I tell her that she left before I even pulled out and
she was flabbergasted by this, she forgot she was suppose to follow me. Then she tells me I'm an idiot for worrying so much and to go to work.
There's my story for the day.
TLDR = pretty boring, don't read it.
