I think many forget that FL is like cali, in that the northern and southern parts are drastically different, both in scenery and demographics. Even the coastal/inland part is quite different as it is in Cali

like you can't extrapolate the crazy redneck shit from the swamp/everglades area and act like it's a routine thing in South Beach, or Tampa, or the Keys, etc...

That's like comparing 29 Palms to San Francisco

It's just a short-term rush for a temporary ratings boost, though.

It's like clickbait - you get a flood of clicks/views/viewers at the beginning, but once people are habituated to the constant and purposeful outrage, you start to lose people at a tremendous rate - and once your credibility is shot, it's almost impossible to come back (at the very least, it takes a long time to regain people's trust).
