I have a swamp cooler, and central air. but when i moved in, the place was vacant for a year so the swamp cooler was all fucked up, and i never got it fixed. so i have to run central air which is egregious.

that, coupled w/ the fact that now i have a cat chilling at my crib all day, i went from running the AC minimal to all day.

plus, they rate gouge you out here when it's hot/cold. it was 109 at least, 9 days in a row last month.

long story short, my bill was 635...fuckers

House had all the windows replaced, have trees in specific spots to block hottest part of the day, new AC, and I put seals around all the doors. Keep it at 74 but it doesnt come on very much unless its well into the 100s.

Though it is just me here so that certainly keeps costs down. But fuck that is ridiculous.
