Other women. Hobbies, etc. Usually drinking only makes you think about it more. Gotta quit talking to her also. Delete her phone number and block it. block/delete her on all other ways to contact you as well.
 
Long day at Universal. The fuckers were sold out of 'front of the line' passes. Couldn't believe it. Had to take my family and be peasants for the day sitting in fucking lines. Would have left and comeback another day if not for my 9 year old daughters puppy eyes, god damnit.

True dat, we were just really good friends before we started dating for a about 3 year, then dated for about a year and a half and were about to get engaged., then broke up because I was drinking pretty much everyday. And although she doesn't even know I was going out every night with my friends after I left her house, I was constantly hungover, which made me a shitty person to be around. We've still remained somewhat friends since, she knows I'm interested still, she is too, but I think she'd rather just be friends because well, I'm me.

Besides the drinking, I've done this. I will go weeks without talking to her and seeing some other girl, and she'll call asking to go out or something and ditch the girl I've been seeing, drop her completely, and start talking to the ex again, like a bitch.
 
if she was worth it to hang out w/, maybe you wouldn't have been drunk everytime you did it previously. sounds like a girl that's loyal, but not sure it's worth the potential ramifications

didn't mean that to sound judgy, i meant if she had problems w/ you drinking and you truly cared for her, you probably woulda made a stronger effort to curb being drunk around her.

Then again, i'm basing this off weed, and alky is a whole other animal, so i'm sure it's much much easier said than done when you're that deep.

At the very least, she sounds like a non shady, trusting girl. that's not exactly a common trait, maybe she is worth it...

I wasn't drunk around her, I would go out with my friends after chillen with her. She didn't really know I even had a drinking problem, I would just leave her house at like 12 and go out until 3 or 4 am with my boys everynight. She broke up with me because I became a unhappy, depressed, mean individual, which stems from me being hungover all the time from being drunk from the night before, which she didn't know until after we broke up.

Yea, I constantly tell myself that this is my best option. But then she calls me out of the blue and I fall right back into the trap and everything comes back like we just broke up yesterday or something.

No, only did that a few times. And they were at parties and shit, anyway, I'll try not to talk to her anymore, thanks for the advice everyone.
