Just started season 2 of Breaking Bad (first season only 7 episodes apparently). It's alright, but I have no idea how people are calling this better than the Wire. It wouldn't even be in my top-10 yet. I'm assuming it'll get better though.

yeah I've been binge-watching BB over the past 3 weeks. I'm in season 3 now and that's where the drop-off is for me. The first 2 seasons were really good but season 3's been kinda meh.
