reminds me of the drunk ass Alabama mom attacking Oklahoma fans

not bad looking IMO, I'd hit it

That's terrible to hear

RIP

I hope we don't become desensitized to these tragedies

not to get war roomy, but that's what some folks are seemingly admitting to in the thread there.

Apparently the guy was dishonorably discharged from the Air Force in 2014. He was a 'gun enthusiast' who also taught Sunday school and was married with kids. There are rumors, not sure at all if true, that he killed his family and then went to the church, walked in, opened fire and then ran off. He's dead thankfully. 27 killed ranging from small children to senior citizens.

New Sam Smith album is so good. He’s the most talented vocalist of this generation.

And down goes the beer mile record again! Damn, 4m33s is ridiculously fast. I know the guy had the WR at 5:00 just a few years ago.

So lame.

That event used to be for Dad bod frat boys to get drunk while doing excercise and of course the track star nerds had to come and fucking ruin it lol

Drunken lawnmower races were good, demolition derbys were better.

Hmmm - I'm not sure of that. I've heard that our cross country team rookie initiation might have been the first (or at least first few) known beer mile event(s). We used to do it at night after our home meet.

I can't remember (it's been that long) if we had a penalty lap for throwing up before the finish.

Bottom line is that the 4 beers/4 laps has always been a competitive college runner thing.

Only tragedy I ever actually felt something for was 9/11

And you were what... 10? lol

In the past, when I'd get that initial notice on my phone that something shitty was happening or already went down... I'd start searching around, I'd read all about it, just generally become very informed on the situation.

But yea, this last car attack in Manhattan and now this church attack in Texas... I didn't even bother to look, of course hours later I caught a headline somewhere, but yea I silenced that notification as if it was a WNBA result.

Can't explain this shit... Swear it has a lot to do with Prescription meds, shit's not healthy. Used to be pro gun control, and a 100% ban on basically all pistols / ARs etc would curb gun deaths... but it would take years to confiscate all those outstanding weapons and along the way dozens of attacks would still happen with illegally purchased guns.

It's just the culture here. There's no community.

yea, I'd guess we'd have to go ahead and ban all vehicles too since they're used quite often as weapons.

but on an ironic note, a couple who were in Vegas and survived that mass shooting got run over and killed in NYC while on vacation, riding bikes on a bike trail. talk about rotten luck.
