More of a time piece/generational thing rather than being talented.

+1000. The Doors are terrible. Jim Morrison was just cool and tricked everyone into thinking his band was good. Everyone goes through a phase where they smoke weed in their teens and "discover" The Doors. Then 10 years later realize they suck compared to their peers of that era.
