Eh I'll give it to Conor, he didn't make a complete fool of himself which seemed like a big time possibility.

Figured the ref would be under strict caution to not let him take an unncesessary beat down. Hes a commission cash cow.

Of course not. I just thought the whole thing was crap from the moment they started talking about it. And now I feel like Floyd carried him to preserve his money making ability, since I imagine they'll be partnering up. Whatever, I guess they got paid. Good for them.
 
Disagrees with that entirely. I think he put on a better showing than Pac did, by far. Which is a horrific look for boxing is general

He put on a better showing than pac did because Floyd was going at McConor for the entire duration of the fight. Floyd knew McConor had nothing for him and was executing his game plan against a scrub.

Pac on the other hand, Floyd had to be Floyd.
 
Also watched it with a large group a people that just bought the event because, well, it was an event, and were all pissed and the ending and all vowed never to buy another boxing event in their lives. They're all like 30 and like combat sports

I doubt this thought process was an outlier

Tonight was a huge win for MMA. It's fuckin nuts

Every time floyd fights we got people saying "Im never buying another floyd fight"

That's part of it, but Pac was not as offensive as Caner was. Unless I just don't remember it the same.... because past like the 4th or 5th round the Pac foght was a snoozer
 
If Conor tried that against another top boxer he would have been ko and looked a lot worse

It was a snoozer for sure. Mayweather is just great at what he does and was able to nullify anything pacman had for him.

Just in regards to the whole McConor thing tonight, Floyd knew exactly what he was doing. He was never in any danger, hence why he came forward the entire fight and made McConor look better than he was by actually eating some shots.

Gotta hand it to Floyd, he said he would be the aggressor (I thought bullshit), and he stuck to his word.
 
Also glad it didn't stay close and go to the scorecards. One judge had Conor losing the first round, the other had him losing the 2nd and 3rd. Say what you want about Floyd just feeling him out, there is no way Conor lost any of those rounds. Floyd was pretty much coinciding them and the refs still gave him the rounds lol.
 
I liked it. Mostly cause Mayweather actually finished a fight.
