Say Goodbye to Net Neutrality

also Net Neutrality being repealed the same day as the Disney Buys Fox news is so transparently obvious

fuck you Mickey Mouse give us back our unthrottled porn

But now you have the freedom to choose if you want the Adult Internet Package for just 9.99 +taxes and applicable service fees or not. If you do want the Adult Entertainment Package you get access to literally dozens of Comcast approved Adult Videos w/ No-Ads* that you can view as many times as you like as long as you're within your Adult Entertainment Cap. And if find you need more Adult Videos beyond your cap you can always choose the Adult Internet Premium Package for an additional 14.95.

*No-Ads is a Comcast Video Brand and does not actually guarantee that videos will be free from advertisement and/or product placement.

I haven't been following this shit much, but I read there was nothing stopping ISP's from doing any of that under the Net Neutrality laws (Besides obviously rustling their consumers)

Not if you're a Plat member!

I am no expert by any means, only following the gist of things on various internet hubs which of course will have their own biases, but from what I understand:
My understanding was that NN regulations required ISPs to treat all data as equal? A porn bit was no different that an educational bit?

I'm not a lawyer, nor have I looked into this in depth so you could be right

I read the same but i think it was like, in 2015 the internet was classified as being “neutral”
And since then have there been efforts to strip away that classification and make it a utility

So you’re right, before there was any classification of the internet as anything other than a telecomm service they COULD have charged for it

But i think legislators taking the longwinded approach so they can create a legal system that makes them the most bucks under a congress mandated “internet is a utility” system

Rather than going through legal loopholes over how to charge extra without “offending their consumer”

Now they can pretend like its the governments issue not theirs

so what this is going to make throttling legal now? It's bad enough these twats slows shit down when the bills about due now they are just gonna say fuck it business needs the bandwidth more then normal people this better not fuck with my K/D ratio in Destiny.

If you didn't vote for Clinton you don't have the right to be upset about this

technically its not over. there will be lawsuits but doubt it will be stopped

damn. Liberals have been taking MAJOR Ls.

1) Trump wins

2) all their male celeb supporters being exposed for sexual assaukt

3) net neutrality (liberals suck on the tit of the internet)

for the record Im pro net neutrality and neither conservative or liberal.

75% of Republicans, 89% of Democrats and 86% of Independents oppose repealing Net Neutrality.

The people oppose it.

Ajit Pai is basically a stooge for Verizon.

Hahahaha well played

Oh cheer up snowflakes. My political leanings mean that I automatically assume that whatever the current ruling party does is beyond awesome and kicks major ass.

Can anyone link a decent breakdown of exactly how this will effect us all?

I will way that if this messes with my internet I am considering just dropping internet altogether aside from the unlimited data I have on my phone plan.

So we're pissed off at the government for stepping back? Shouldn't we be upset at the ISPs IF they start abusing their powers the way we assume they will?

I am strangely not upset by this for some reason. Its probably because Congress has 60 working days to review and overrule the FCC's repeal. Call me an optimist.
