If you think that fight was awful you need to go watch bare knuckle or something, it was 2 rounds of mostly grappling with some striking followed by 3 rounds of 95 percent striking. It was a good fight and the crowd was cheering the whole time

It was very impressive if we are talking about sheer in-cage dominance. Cory didn't let Font do a damn thing.
But entertainment-wise, it wasn't the most thrilling.
 
Conor put in a pretty boring fight vs Max, due to ligament injury. Same situation here.

1 bad fight in terms of excitement won't wrap his career.
 
I wouldn't say never. This fight didn't get him any closer though. He's young enough that if he wowed in an upcoming fight he'd mend the fences with Dana. A highlight reel can fix a lot of things.
